I'm not saying they don't mention it.

I'm saying the majority of fans don't care about El Generico vs. Kevin Steen. They have no reason to care about Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens.

Taking a feud from NXT and putting it on RAW just doesn't work. You can show as many video packages as you want, but until it's happening on TV on Monday nights - it's a crapshoot if the fans will care or not.

The good thing is, it allows WWE to be pretty lazy if they wanted to and rehash the old storylines (with a twist here or there) because Generico/Steen was great. The bad thing is, they would never do that because it's actual wrestling and not sports entertainment.

It's like the Summer of Punk. That was pretty rehashed, but it seemed to work out well for them at the time.

Summer of Punk was virtually identical. But WWE would never make any mention of that.

However, El Generico never came to WWE, so they don't have to mention that past. He went back to Mexico to take care of the orphans.

Anybody have a bold prediction for NXT in 2016?

If I had to make one, believe me it is bold.

I see a situation where all the face champions bayley/balor/jordan & gable create some type of backstage pact about staying NXT.

During this time a big name has just moved up lets say Sami Zayn and things aren't going well for him on the main roster. Meltzer comes out with some report about H finding away within WWE corp. too do a hard separation of NXT as a brand almost like it exists in its on plain separate from raw completely in an attempt to keep his main level talent happy and negotiate Sami coming back to NXT for good.

Of course this is a huge pay cut for everyone to take but Balor leads the charge as personally wanting to be with NXT for the long haul. Maybe heyman gets involved some how? maybe that is a little to bold.

Does anyone think we'll see Balor dropping the belt without him leaving NXT to move to the main roster? I love Balor but it would be cool to see him drop the belt and continue on NXT.

My prediction is that Balor and Zayn remain in NXT until August, it upsets people, they headline Takeover: Brooklyn II and have a 5 star classic, nobody is upset anymore.

Vince does not deserve Balor or anybody from NXT quite yet so IMO, I would love Balor to drop the belt have a possible heel turn for a couple of feuds with a built up "Balor Club" in his steed.

IWC would not get pissed in this situation. If RAW is still in the same shape it is in by that time(lets be honest things prob will be) NXT fans will be foaming at the mouth at that match, if built correctly brooklyn? i say msg.

My bold prediction Corbin and Balor don't even last a month in NXT (One gets called up this month and the other a surprise entrance in the RR). Zayn does a quick 1-2 month rehab stint and then comes up to the main roster. Because of the ratings being so bad. Eva becomes the NXT Women's champion beating Bayley clean and is never in the title picture again because she moves up to main Roster and then gets buried in favor of the Bellas because they are in relationships with Bryan and Cena.

My prediction for NXT in 2016:
Cass/Enzo finally win tag titles(and get called up to main roster around summer)

Bayley goes to main roster in early 2016(April for latest)

Corbin debuts during the WM Battle Royal

Crews gets called up to main roster the night after WM

Zayn is back on the main roster for the Rumble

Balor goes to main roster by MITB

Joe goes up to main roster sometime in 2016

As for NXT itself:
Itami returns and becomes NXT champ
Jordon/Gable become the new tag champs(after Enzo/Cass leave)
Dillinger gets pushed to a main role
Asuka becomes Womens champ

Won't happen, because it's a business. NXT operates at a loss as an investment into the future of WWE. Them touring more is a means to lessen the loss, not to actually turn a profit. For the talents, the money is way better on the main roster, even if you're going from NXT title to midcard.

Correct.

I was just imagining a situation where Balor who in 2015 expressed his focus being NXT decides to stand his ground with the current state of raw being an excuse for it and gets some talent to align with him do the same.

this is as bold as someone saying CM Punk would leave almost a year before it happened.

My thought. The only time the NXT crowd goes into business for themselves is the "Hey we want some Bayley" chant. I don't think the the "this is wrestling" or "this is awesome" chants are bad, only when they do it before the collar and elbow lock up. "Asuka's gonna kill you" is a fine chant. That fits with the other bad chants. But it's just like the old American Dragon "you're gonna get your ****ing head kicked in", which I loved. This is a indie-esque crowd. And I'm fine with all but the Bayley chant.

Granted not every single promo was spectacular.

Just the fact that everyone got a chance to sell their upcoming matches made me care so much about nxt last night and takeover london.
