Trial by fire.

So many uber-talented legends (or talented folks) only worked the WWE style or presently at the PC.

Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair ([emoji1785][emoji2961]), Kurt Angle (to start), Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, John Cena, Batista, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Bobby Lashley (to start), Chad Gable, Montez Ford, Otis, etc, etc.

If he has "it" then he'll pick it up quick and get to the main roster. If not then they'll move on and look for the "next big thing" (probably already have him with Bron, Waller, or Austin Theory) elsewhere.

How many of those wrestlers had their literal first ever match in front of a crowd on that kind of a stage tho? The earlier NXT wasn't even on TV. And Lesnar/Batista/Cena/Orton had OVW with Cornette, plus dark matches.

I just don't get the idea that you are going to memorize moves and spots at the PC behind closed doors, and then go straight to working a match with that much hype on that stage. But WWE wants to do that.

On the job training has always been a thing in wrestling, but this era of strictly TV wrestling being cultivated and taught and then executed right from the jump seems like a pretty weak foundation.

What a crazy episode.

Trick/Melo going their separate ways (without Trick turning on Melo)?! I hope they get called up to the main roster together, they're such a great duo.

Rhea calling Dragon Lee "Rey Mysterio Jr Jr", then Rey Mysterio Jr shows up and says he's gonna be there for the match next week!

Dom and Rhea run into Axiom who is excited for next week, except Dom and Rhea get confused wondering why Dragon Lee is confronting them again and saying the exact same thing he told them an hour ago.

Brian Pillman Jr

Bron, Pillman, Dempsey, Jensen, Wagner, Arianna Grace, Ava as talent with family ties to wrestling (might be more, but that's all I recognized)

Pillman will take some time in NXT, he didn't stand out much in AEW outside of the short MJF feud, but I wonder if they'd ever think of doing a Legacy 2.0 stable one day. Cody leading it with Pillman and someone else along with him?

Basically like the WWE version of TNAs short lived Bound for Glory series, so I love that.

They had to bring in Butch, yet they already had someone representing England AND Dempsey is representing the USA?

Meh.... so unnecessary. Like when New Day won the NXT Tag Titles, so unnecessary. At least build up to it more, at least tell more of a story with it. Not just the first match and boom here's the title.

Is all but confirmed to be headed to NXT.

She'll definitely need time in the PC, but I could definitely see a debut at No Mercy, which takes places the night before a certain PPV.

Must have missed it, but they advertised the NXT Womens Breakout Tournament "coming soon". This has to all be leading to that. Win the tournament and likely face Tiffany for the title at whatever NXT PLE show they have in January? Or do they push things up and have Becky still champ?

Man, having her debut on NXT the night before the AEW PPV would be something. Have her spend a few weeks learning the WWE way of things before she shows up at No Mercy. Maybe Brian Pillman Jr. can show up there too and have 2 former AEW talent debut in NXT the night before AEW's next PPV.

I could see her attacking whoever wins the women's title match.

As for Pillman, maybe they give him the "look who's in the crowd" debut.

I wouldn't say he's big enough to get an impact debut where he interrupts some already established person on the roster. But showing him in the crowd and mentioning who he is could be a good intro for those who don't know AEW
