I find it funny how Rey is so hated by the IWC
IMO, he's a great wrestler. His stuff in the 90s was amazing. And many people would argue he was the best of 2009. The guy can still work.
Unfortunately, he's booked like ****, thus gets a ton of crap from the IWC. And it's all about how he's booked. Evan Bourne is smaller than Rey, yet he got booked for a clean, legit win over Jericho tonight, and it looked great and was well-recieved by the IWC. But Rey, on the other hand, it constantly booked to either a.) overcome tremendous odds or b.) gets random help such as tonight from Kane to win...and he gets a ton of crap for it.
Much like Cena, Rey can't be blamed for his boring booking. He's a very good worker who just does what he's told. Is he what he was 10 years ago? Hell no. But he's still better than the majority of the roster. It's not his fault he's booked to talk to all the little kids on his way to the ring and then win by the lame "overcoming the odds" crap much like Cena.
If you dislike Rey winning the title and the way he's booked, that's fine. But I don't understand the hate for Rey as a wrestler. He's slowed down over the years, but I'd still rather watch him than H or Sheamus. His matches with Jericho and Ziggler in 09 were awesome. He can't help the fact that he makes insane money which makes the writers book him in that ultimate underdog role
EDIT: don't get me wrong, I didn't want Rey to win. I was fully rooting for Punk and was quite pissed when Kane picked on Punk. I'm not a fan of Rey's booking, but he's one of those guys I enjoy booing. I'm always rooting against him, but I rarely come away from his matches disappointed. Hate him if you will, but he always brings his best

Just thought I'd mention Maryse had a wardrobe malfunction. I thought I saw it but wasn't sure though I've seen it mentioned elsewhere now with pics.
