Re: Hell In A Cell 2010 - 10/3/10
Predictions:
Miz over Orton on a MITB cash-in
Orton over Sheamus
Kane over Undertaker (Paul Bearer turns on Taker, Kane extends his run)
Barrett over Cena (With Nexus interference, to hopefully start something similar to my storyline)
Bryan over Miz/Morrison (Bryan Makes Miz tap one more time)Comment

Re: Hell In A Cell 2010 - 10/3/10
Stupid ending, but I'm glad Kane retained.
Bryan/JoMo/Miz was a great midcard opener. Showcased the future of the company.
Orton/Sheamus was a very good match with a lackluster finish.
Edge/Swagger was a good match.
Cena/Barrett was a very good match, quite a few turning points, had me on the edge of my seat. Loved the finish an leaves me in suspense for tomorrow.
Divas title...well, I never paid attention.
Taker-Kane...it was decent. Nothing special. Glad Kane retained depsite the lame finish.
Overall, I'd say it was a very good PPV. The first two hours was must see, and even the final hour wasn't bad. I was really looking forward to Miami-New England tomorrow night, but I think I'll be tuning into Raw instead.Co-Commish of the OS Vets I & II

Meh, I'd argue that PG WWE has put on a better in-ring product than we may have seen at any time in the WWE.
I'll agree that the storylines are lame at times(see Kane-Taker tonight), but I think it'll work out in the long run.
Right now, they're trying to stay clean for Linda's campaign. Also, they're trying to gain a new youth fan base that will be fans for years to come. It's not much different than how many of the fans of the Attitude Era were also fans during the late 80s/early 90s when things were very family oriented.
I think WWE will get more risque again in the future. Alot of it depends on how Linda's campaign goes. If she ends up pulling off the upset(which seems very possible at this point), we maybe stuck with the PG era for a few more years. But if she doesn't win, I think Vince will get more edgy sooner than later. The rating, buyrates, and attendance are calling for a change of some sort.Co-Commish of the OS Vets I & II

I didn't watch the PPV, but read the report on Wrestling Observer. Glad to hear Cena lost, should make RAW interesting going forward.
I have a question for you guys that watched the PPV; Meltzer's recap of the 'Taker-Kane match said that 'Taker was in bad shape physically and could barely get through the match. Did you guys notice this at all?
Meltzer seems to always say this about 'Taker and yet, I never see anything. He looked fine against CM Punk on Smackdown 2 days ago. Obviously he's not going to be flying around like he's 25, but he still does some pretty athletic spots.
Just curious if you guys perhaps noticed something in the match or if it's just exaggeration?Currently Playing:

WWE does need to build up a younger demographic, much like they did in the 1980's. Get kids interested young and then adapt with them as they grow older. We loved WWF in the 80's because we were mostly in our tweens and by the time the late 90's rolled around, most of us were in college or out of college and wanted something with more bite and edge to it. Makes sense for WWE to try and repeat that cycle.
The only thing I don't like is the no blood policy. Especially when you have a PPV that's based around HIAC, you should have someone juice, as it does help get the stipulation and match over.Currently Playing:

lol I don't blame you. I couldn't care less about her politics, but I'm a little sick of the E taming thing down for her. Last I heard, she had cut the gap down to 49%-46%, which is a vast improvement over what it was just a couple months ago. It'll be close. Part of me hopes she wins just because I think it'll be kinda cool from a WWE fan's perspective, but part of me hopes she loses because she seems to be holding the company back creative-wise.Co-Commish of the OS Vets I & II

Re: Hell In A Cell 2010 - 10/3/10
US title match was damn good. Maybe Morrison jumping off of stuff will lead to a Jeff Hardy push.
+1 for good Orton matches...bringing the total to 2. Sheamus has now managed to pull out a good match with Orton who is awful and Mark Henry who is average at best. A LOT better than anyone realizes perhaps? (Other than himself and HHH I suppose.) Guess the constant cheap retains and lack of legit title defense wins hurt that. Maybe he's like Cena and certian guys will bring the best out of him but I don't see how Orton would be one. When Orton was on the cell I kept looking at the entry way expecting Miz to sneak up the cell and throw him off.
Edge/Swagger was oooooooooooook.
Barrett/Cena proved Barrett was the right man to win NXT. What a great match. I think it was match of the night. Came off as having great chemistry too. I got worried when Cena kicked out of Wasteland. Normally I'm down on great matches with shady endings but it was appropriate.

Women's match was meh. I knew Nattie wasn't winning the title tonight. I liked Striker's reaction to the shoe throwing. "She really is a heel!"
'Taker/Kane wasn't very good, the ending was worse/seemed really awkward and the crowd was mostly dead.Last edited by goh; 10-03-2010, 11:17 PM.Comment
