Re: Slider Thread?
They wont kick out...
This is even with all of the attributes for striking, grappling etc at its lowest while having durability at its highest with the the abilities...
This really needs to get patched bad...
Basically, you mines aswell dont go for a pin untill u used a finisher...Comment

Re: Slider Thread?
Yea, If you get the CPU in a good amount of moves (whether its within 30 secs or 10 mins)
They wont kick out...

Looks like I just fell off that fence I was on about buying the game. Well there's always next year.Last edited by Seymour Scagnetti; 10-28-2010, 05:40 PM.Comment

Re: Slider Thread?
Well considering that's it's highly unlikely that THQ will even issue a patch anytime soon based on prior history I would think this would be a complete game killer because it will always be in the back of your mind that no matter what all you have to do is pull off several moves in a row and you have an automatic pin. It's like you would have to continually be conscious of not being too aggressive so as too not make it too easy. I'm pretty shocked that THQ even let this become an issue.

Now you have to "work" the match to get enjoyment out of the AI but like you said, we will always have that "I can pin the AI at anytime" in the back of our mind...
I hope Marcus and Co can deliver us a patch...SOONComment

Re: Slider Thread?
I think this weekend I'm going to experiment with putting the strikes and grapples down about 30 - 40 each wrestle. If you watch a match, or notice when you perform a strike, the opponent sometimes flies off his feat as if he just got hit with a Mortal Kombat strike! It looks real "arcadey".
I'm using the Legend sliders on the 1st page. I was still able to beat Undertaker ( I think I was Santino) with just a body slam. I haven't had a match yet where the CPU kicks out.Comment

Re: Slider Thread?
What would be perfect though, and Jukeman I think you mentioned this in another thread, is if THQ would give us a patch where there would give us a health slider whereby putting it at 0 you would have minimal health loss to the wrestler and actually have good long matches to your liking. They added new sliders for FN4 so I don't think it would be that hard to implement.Comment

Re: Slider Thread?
Was it like this last year because I remember legend difficulty not being that tough once you got used to it but i don't remember a glitch like this. Considering they have been using the same gameplay mechanics from last year it really is inexcusable this major flaw wasn't caught in testing. It further cements my suspicion that game companies use chimpanzees to test thier games.

I guess people figured it was the AI just taking its beating, this year they will actually put on a offense and even try to set up for stuntsComment

Re: Slider Thread?
Since reversing is hugh in this game it may be a big difference...
Plus you need a rating of 75 or higher to be able to counter chain grapples.
There are still quick pins with these assuming you hit a big enough move but however back chops, clotheslines and running knees wont end the match 2mins into it with these...
EDIT
With the edits Santino is a 52 while Taker is a 59Last edited by Jukeman; 10-29-2010, 09:25 PM.Comment

Re: Slider Thread?
Had the best match and LONGEST with these "edits". What I'm wondering though, is if you or anyone, has tried to edit these with the guidelines:
Superstars get ratings in the 20's.
Mid carders in the teens.
And Divas and lightweights 5 - 10.
Just trying to think of a way to distinguish between two wrestlers. Big Show has a powerful punch, so maybe put his striking at 30? Something like that...
Going to have a CPU vs CPU with the two wrestlers I edited based on you advice (Last man standing) and see how that plays out...(Batista vs Orton).Comment

I had a guideline in mind but I got so pissed off about the weak attack= successful pin fiasco I just went with the extreme
I may end up with a similar guideline if neededComment

Re: Slider Thread?
I had to raise to finisher because it was treated like a regular move so they didnt even attempt a pin after they hit it...
I have a feeling the low attributes weakened the finishers and weapon damage
Finishers are find now with the update but im lookin into the weapons now
Out of curiosity, how long did the Last Man Standing match last before the edits? I never attempted that match on defaultLast edited by Jukeman; 10-29-2010, 10:24 PM.Comment
