Re: Official WWE Smackdown Thread 2011
Yeah, I really enjoyed it. Cody Rhodes is really developing into a top-level heel, as is Ziggler. I thought the Rhodes-Bryan match was very good until the Booker T run-in. Ziggler-Orton was nice, too, but you knew it would be limited due to the beat the clock stipulation.
David Otunga looks 100% in the ring than he did a year ago. That's not saying a lot, but at least he's showing improvement.
I hope WWE finds something meaningful for Sheamus to do soon. He seems to just "be there" since Christian went on the DL.Currently Playing:

Re: Official WWE Smackdown Thread 2011
- I watched the Rhodes match, but knew he'd beat Bryan without Booker being able to interfere.
- I fast forwarded through the Diva's but stopped to hear Alicia "talk"... it was awful.
- I knew Ted was squashing Heath Slater so that got fastforwarded (but I did watch him hit Dream Street because it's a sick move).
- I then fastforwarded Jinder-Sheamus II because we all knew another squash was coming as the Sheamus build towards nothing continues.
- I fastforwarded through the tag match because we all knew the Uso's would job, plus I really dislike both teams.
- I fastforwarded through all the recaps of the tribute show and Slammy's, because well... I saw all that (I actually would have watched a Kane recap but I guess Pipe Bomb of the Year needed to be re-aired instead).
- I watched the main event, because I didn't know who was going to win going into Sunday and thought it was good.
So I knocked it out in about 20 minutes probably. Overall, a horrible show. I stay away from spoilers and still felt as if I'd read them as this was a total throwaway show. Smackdown has been slipping big time.
I know most people like Smackdown better, and I'll be the first to admit, that when Raw misses, they miss horribly (see: JR freestyle, Cena this is your life), but I always prefer it to Smackdown.Last edited by Streets; 12-17-2011, 03:21 PM.Comment

Re: Official WWE Smackdown Thread 2011
I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the main event then, I was on the computer while watching. Plus the rest of the show was pretty weak.
I did like the Rhodes v Bryan until the interference.
Diva's match was horrible, as expected. I don't know why they keep having the dominant Divas get roll up pinned nearly every week.
Ted v. Slater was boring, but I hate Slater. Not that he's a bad wrestler, but I hate his look, attitude, and overall gimmick. I hate his face.
Sheamus squash match was indeed boring. Another knock out kick to the face.
The tag team match was horrible, with the exception of Rosa.
Ya, I sadly watched the show as it aired, so I sat through everything...Comment

Re: Official WWE Smackdown Thread 2011
That back stage brawl was solid, reminded me of old times when they would do that more, it can really add a lot to a feud. Except Barrett wouldve got hit by a car or electrocuted instead of sprayed with water.Follow me for live wrestling tweets @molarmiteComment

Re: Official WWE Smackdown Thread 2011
Everyone should watch the main event between Bryan and Ziggler. The whole match was good but there was a pin sequence that Bryan did about half way through the match that was spectacular, I'll find a link after the show.Follow me for live wrestling tweets @molarmiteComment

I don't know how you don't just have Ziggler vs. Bryan and Wade vs. Bryan, and just have 4-star matches out the arse for the foreseeable future.Last edited by ChaseB; 12-24-2011, 01:03 AM.I won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update).
