Re: Updated list of planned WWE DVD releases
I wouldn't say "run WCW".
The way I had envisioned it going would be like the nWo gets back to it's roots... just taking out WCW guys left and right. They'd take the belt for fun, and do whatever they wanted with it. Always win dirty, always keep either surprising others when they'd show up or just play the numbers game. The guys losing could still stay strong, they'd just lose by the numbers (or win via DQ.)
Have it culminate at one of the big events after like a year (to maybe 1.5 years max) of having them do this where one of the big babyfaces finally wins it, even after interference and stuff.
That's just in my mind though.badComment

I got you. I just don't know why all that couldn't have happened without the belt changing hands that way. They could've come up w/ a better "swerve" than that.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

Re: Updated list of planned WWE DVD releases
Yeah, but all things considered... I think the Fingerpoke is an overblown moment in time for WCW. It's just easy to point to it and say "OMG SO BAD." It's a perfectly legitimate thing for a heel team to do - I just don't like how much press that singular moment in time gets, compared to everything else that truly was wrong.Comment

Looking back, it just seemed like horrible booking caused by backstage politics.Comment

Interesting little development with the Elimination Chamber home video release.
They put it out on Blu-Ray.
It's only available on Blu at Best Buy, though.
God, I hope this sticks. I hope they go back to putting out all of them on Blu.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: Updated list of planned WWE DVD releases
Bret Hart the Dungeon collection is awesome. Nice touch that they had Bret talk a bit about each wrestler or match before they went to it. A lot of really rare matches, HF vs Islanders, Twin towers. Never saw that match he had with Mr perfect from MLG in 1989. Of course KOTR 1994, Art Donovan anyone?.
I shelled out a bit more for the blu ray, it was worth it though. I hadn't seen his match with Hakushi from raw in 1995. Hakushi was before his time, he would have been great when wwe started up the lightweight div back in 1997. He had a awesome match with 1-2-3 Kid at Summerslam 1995. Did Hakushi and shawn ever wrestle in 1995?, if so that match would have been something.
His wcw run, boy oh boy. They really dropped the ball on that one.Comment

Re: Updated list of planned WWE DVD releases
Recently finished Allied Powers: World's Greatest Tag Teams and The Best Of Nitro Vol. 2.
I enjoyed AP a lot more than I thought I would. Showed some really great matches and it's amazing to hear the crowd when it came to some of these tag teams.
Best of Nitro volume 2 is what volume 1 should have been. Great for nostalgia, of course. It's funny to see world title matches on there between the same 3 or 4 guys. To add to that, the main event guys, didn't put on many good matches, at least the ones on this DVD. The better matches were the tag team matches they showed or the the cruserweight matches.Originally posted by MoJust once I'd like to be the one they call a jerk off.Originally posted by MoYou underestimate my lazinessOriginally posted by Mo**** ya

I need to pick both of these up, along with Bret's new DVD and Foley's DVD.Currently Playing:

I had no plans of picking up Foley's, but if it's going back to his ECW days, I think I'll check it out.

Re: Updated list of planned WWE DVD releases
Miz and Morrison introduce a tag team (no particular order that I could tell), then you get something like a highlight film of them, then a match. The matches are definitely worth it. Tag teams from the 80's that I didn't see are showcased and there wasn't a match that I didn't enjoy. I don't believe that match is on there.
