Day of Reckoning 2 is my second favorite wrestling game with WCW/nWo Revenge being no. 1. I like the speed/pacing of the gameplay and think its a really good looking game(IMO it looks better than any Wii wrestling game to date which is pretty sad)

First off shout outs to NES Pro Wrestling and Wrestle Fest for the arcade.

I love the AKI games, but for me you can't beat Fire Pro returns. If you have an action replay you can load up your game with 500 edits all with customizable AI; unbeatable imo.

I just wish THQ would adopt the fan approval/match rating from KOCII.
Its so satisfying to get 100 percent fan approval in matches.

Match rating was in Smackdowns 1 & 2, as well as in GM mode as recent as 2008 IIRC. If they'd just bring back GM mode and tie it in w/ WWE Universe they'd have something...

I'm going old school. As a kid, the two games that I had lots of fun with were on NES, WWF Wrestlemania Challenge and Tecmo World Wrestling. I was amazed at all the moves that Tecmo had. Gotta love the announcer guy too. lol

Well Smackdown 2 was the first one I played. Loved it. Then I discovered No Mercy and it was all over. Still play to this day keeping rosters up to date and such. Only problem I have is the save file keeps getting deleted. Ill never unlock Ho from the smackdown Mall. Lol

Here Comes The Pain was my favorite Smackdown title. Had a great roster too.

My top pick is No Mercy though, still probably the best local multiplayer fun I had growing up. Fire Pro Wrestling gets an honoroable mention. I would create entire leagues/feuds and battle for titles. Also makes me think of EWR sim. Man, there was a lot of great wrestling games.

1. Fire pro wrestling d: I spent more time on this game than any wrestling game ever.

2. KOTC II: extremely fun and deep. Like fire pro with better graphics.

3. wcw nwo revenge: Tons of multiplayer fun.

WCW/nWo Revenge was the game that first got me. A lot of fun back in the day and I was on a big WCW kick back then.

Then came No Mercy and put some good time into that. Once THQ exchanged my bugged reset copy for a new one, it was on. I remember using an action replay to replace guys in the story mode with created characters. Great fun.

Last one is Smackdown HCTP. Great roster and although a few things are odd, really enjoyed the story mode on it and gameplay was just fun.

Trying to find a copy of DOR2. A mate had it and said it was a pretty decent title back then.

No Mercy (N64 gaming at it's peak.. Revenge but better)

Revenge (The first wrestling game I can remember with such a deep roster.. Fun to play with 3 other people. The first wrestling game I remember waiting for that didn't disappoint (unlike Warzone or Attitude).

Day of Reckoning 2 (Stopped really following wrestling around it's release (I always go back and forth with watching) but this game was crazy fun to play with a few other people. Gameplay was solid and the matches were exciting.

Wrestlefest (The Arcade).. Can't tell you how much I spent at the arcades back in the day on this game. Why can't Live or the PSN release this? Maybe one day.

Used to love wrestling games, but just can't get into the current product anymore. If I play a wrestling game these days, I stick with Smackdown HCTP. Best roster ever in a wrestling game with a decent CAW mode and excellent story mode.

I bought up until this year's Smackdown Vs Raw series, but after feeling ripped off the last two years, haven't even bothered with this year's game. Plus, I can't get attached to much of the roster since I don't really watch wrestling anymore.

But, for me, HCTP is almost a perfect wrestling game, if only there were more CAW slots...

I love HCTP, and I've been playing it lately. Great roster and the best part is the movesets, which are the best of all time by a landslide. However the game is unplayable do to it becoming nothing more than a reversal fest.

You are not missing out on anything with SvR11. They removed like a thousand moves (anything not mocap). The game plays painfully slow, AI seems dumber than ever. They were so lazy that some people are missing obvious things, like stone cold doesn't come out with a vest. The ruined road to wrestlemania by forcing you to run around backstage every night. The only good I can speak is downloading caws.
