Re: RAW 2 - Dev Team Fired?

Smackdown sold billions of copies because of simplistic controls (therefore limited move lists) appeal to the kiddies. THQ will stick with that formula. Too bad for us, though. I hate the shallow Yukes engine, but looks like thats all we'll see from now on...........

In my opinion Smackdown is the better game. I have bought every Smackdown and Raw game out. Smackdown has better gameplay and controls. Smackdown is based on real story lines and Raw isn't. Raw has the better intros and graphics, but not by much.

I agree, Smackdown had an excellent story mode. The Gameplay is horrendous. I haven't played this years version but the older versions had ridiculous collision detection, crappy framrate and ultra-repetitive moves. With only 5 frontal moves until the opponent got tired enough for another 5 to become available means you gotta do the same moves over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. No match flow whatsoever. Raw also had its problems though.

For my money the AKI engine will never be matched. Imagine if AKI could pick up some of Anchor's artists.....
