The rematch clause isnt new.....The Monday after a PPV (or the monday after that) has pretty much been "rematch clause" night for a long time now....

My guess is nash costs punk. At the ppv well have punk/nash, cena/adr. Ugghh just started trying to watch resulting again. I hope its still not this predictable.

They both have a title shot though. They both came in as champion at Summerslam and both lost. They both should have a chance to gt it back. There's no way the main event tonight finishes clean anyway though, so a Triple Threat match is not out of the question yet.

cena was never undisputed champion. punk was.

Doesnt mean they need to have their top stars arguing in the ring about which one gets their rematch clause like babies. I remember when Undertaker would lose to a guy, on monday he would come out and beat the **** out of that guy, aka championship story arch continues.

I mostly subscribe to the line of thinking I believe 15thunter was going with. Cena used his rematch against Mysterio for a title that wasn't the legitimate WWE title. Punk returned with the legit belt and the two belts were merged with Punk beating Cena for a second straight time. A rematch for Cena just doesn't make a lot of sense, especially not getting one before Punk who was the last champion.

Point is, they were both champion. Undisputed, co-champion, whatever you wanna call it, they were both the WWE champion and they lost the title that night. Yes, Punk was the most recent champion to lose the title but that doesn't mean Cena's rematch is out of the window. He still has just as much right to a rematch as Punk does.
