Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
I think people are just looking for long matches because they're so used to games like nba,nhl where a single game takes 40+ minutes to play,so having a short 6-7 min match feels like nothing for them.
And you have to consider that in WWE, matches are much slower paced. Superstars takes breaks at time, take forever to hit some moves and things like that.Currently Playing:
MLB The Show 25 (PS5)Comment

Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
I just finished a match, my legend sliders(see above) with default edits. (CAWS this match)
AJ Styles(me) vs James Storm (Impact Arena)
AJ - 91 OVR
JS - 88 OVR
Winner - James Storm
Match Length - 12:13
This was a awesome match, we each kicked out of a finisher and both reversed the other ones comeback moment.
EDIT
played another Impact match
Jeff Hardy(me) vs Bobby Roode
Match Length - 11:36
Winner - Jeff Hardy by way of Swanton BombLast edited by RDZ29; 12-03-2011, 02:31 PM.#HEEL

Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
Today so far, I played 3 matches looking for results that match real life statistics
IN REAL LIFE (ON SUPERSTARS DEC.1)
Ted Dibiase vs Heath Slater
Dibiase won by Dream Street in about 4 mins
IN WWE'12
Ted Dibiase(me) vs Heath Slater
Dibiase wins by Dream Street in 4:50
Overall, VERY ACCURATE, SIMILAR, AWESOME.
IN REAL LIFE (5/27/11)
Daniel Bryan vs Cody Rhodes
DBryan wins by Lebell Lock in about 6 mins
IN WWE'12
Daniel Bryan(me) vs Cody Rhodes
Cody wins by CrossRhodes in 9:03
DZ & Swagger(me) vs Air Boom (I only played with DZ (Swagger - cpu))
DZSWAG wins in 15:09 by Gutwrench powerbomb
Swagger pin'ed Kofi Kingston
Now your probably wondering what edits or sliders I used for these matches.
I used DEFAULT EDITS, w/ my sliders
AI Reversal
Max'ed (20)
Damage
Max'ed (20)
General
Reversals (0)
Momentum Attacks (3)
Mom. Taunts (0)
Adrenaline (Default)(10)
THQ did a good job this year with the ratings to get the kind of match we see on TV every night on RAW, NXT, Superstars, TNA, Smackdown. After playing some of these matches I dont feel a need to change everyone to max durability or -25 at power attributes.
The way the game is set up up, or how the attributes work, I'm thinking that all we, or I, would have to do is lower certain wrestlers Strike / Grapple Defense and Recovery. That will give the "better" wrestlers a higher chance of winning.
If Big Show, with a 100 rating on Striking, hits a guy like Santino, then Santino shouldn't be able to recover as quick. The more I play this game, more I think those 3 ratings are the only ones that would need to be changed. And I would probably lower the AI Reversals a little. At MAX it's way too many counters.
UPDATE.. Okay..Cena just beat Santino for the 3rd straight match. Good deal. And all three matches were about 7 - 10 mins.Comment

Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
I'm a huge CPU vs CPU guy...I like to "book" my matches and watch them play out. That's why for me personally, I'm looking for "realistic" outcomes. I put Cena and Santino back to default. I'm doing 3 matches and Cena so far has won 2. It's good to see he's winning, but I notice Santino gets way too many reversals.

RDZ, What do you have your finisher speed at? slow, normal or fast?Comment

Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
I didn't stay long on AI Reversals maxed simply because i was seeing far to many reversals but thats just my preference. I was still winning but there was hardly any momentum for me. I am on ai reversals default.

Since I have so low of momentum sliders, I play Normal and Fast speed. (for example)
On Superstars, Gabriel vs Kidd would be set as Fast momentum so the match wont take 10+ mins, which it still might.
On Raw, CM Punk vs Cena would be at Normal momentum speed. I haven't tried slow momentum speed yet.#HEEL

I set my Momentum bar speed depending on the match.

My matches are usually anywhere between five and ten minutes with it on fast and with your findings on the average time for a match i am not far away but a few more minutes wouldn't hurt.Comment

Re: SLIDER SETTINGS THREAD
Here is what I'm doing. I did this last year and it worked out great for me. I take the "top" wrestler..or main eventer, I have them wrestle the "lower" wrestler. In this example, Undertaker vs Santino.
I'll have a CPU vs CPU match to "study" how the match plays out. Then, I'll make adjustments from there. Basically, lowering Santino's ratings. If he reverses too much, I lower his defense ratings...if he takes a lot of damage, I lower his recovery and durability.
After I'm satisfied, he becomes my "basis" on the "low" end wrestlers and Undertaker for the "high" end. Then I make adjustments to the wrestlers in between. This doesn't take long at all. Once you have that set, it's a matter of setting other in between.
And I'll have to lower the AI Reversal sliders as well. Too many reversals with it at MAX. I'm thinking since it's CPU vs CPU, default might be good.Comment
