Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Guys i have been running with 21 guys on each roster and i havent been using -Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho, Edge, Shawn Micheals, Stone Cold or the Rock.

Do you guys find that with the added big names in your Universe it means you don't see bigger name wrestlers as there isn't enough matches to utilize them all?

I am just wondering because as i said i dont have them in my Universe but i am thinking of putting Jericho, Edge and Lesnar on Smackdown with HBK, Stone Cold and the Rock on Raw but i dont want to do it if it means that i never see guys like Truth, Miz, and guys like that.

How do you guys go about this?
Yea mostly all rivalries that are not remarkable matches end up as 1-on-1 matches (unless both parties are apart of a team) Its ok to edit them, you'll still have a chance to see a cut scene (not so much if you edit a remarkable match)

Ive got tired of seeing the same two wrestlers face off for 4 weeks str8 then have the same exact match at a PPV...

There are no build up, so i decided to start adding some variety to their matches and giving guys off.

I hope they find a way to add promo's to universe mode but without making the mode predictable.

What type of matches do you create to add variety? I don't mind seeing R-Truth and Regal going at in almost weekly, but one on one matches every week between the two is flat out boring! And what do you mean by giving guys off??

I'll do tag matches involving guys from different feuds (maybe a 6 man or even a mix tag).

Give "Regal" off and Book "Truth" in a match (Regal will most likely run down & interfere)

Give both guys off and just "pretend" they cut a promo instead (also let me get other matches on the card, 4 matches isnt enough)

Book other matches like handicap, 4 way or 3 way to advance to feud or if one of the guys have an ally, I'll book his ally against the rival and make the other guy the manager.

I do the above all the time with Beth/Nattie vs the divas, I'll have Nattie facing off against the #1 contender for the title and place Beth (Divas champ) as the manager and most of the time there is a cut scene after the match.

So Air Boom is the unified Tag Team Champs in my Universe, but Kofi has been helped by CM Punk 2 straight weeks and now they tagged up and it's asking if I want to make them an official team.

            Will this disband Air Boom?

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Extreme Rules PPV is here! Here are my matches:

              US Championship:

Dolph Ziggler (c) vs William Regal vs Alex Riley in a falls count anywhere match.

Ziggler has had the title since the beginning of my universe but Regal and Riley both have won some matches to earn a chance to win the title.

              WWE Tag Team Championship:

Slater & Gabriel (c) vs Otunga & McGillicutty in a normal match.

              WHC:

Christian vs SCSA in an extreme rules match.

              Filler Match:

John Cena vs Jack Swagger vs The Miz in a steel cage match. Booked my the ai

              Intercontinental Championship:

Cody Rhodes (c) vs Wade Barrett in a one on one match. I randomly selected this one to play, an;d I will be Rhodes. Rhodes has had the belt since the start of Universe, but somehow has only had to defend it once at WM against Tyson Kidd.

              WWE Championship:

CM Punk vs The Rock in an extreme rules match.

Punk has been the champ since the start of my universe, defending the title four times! The last time was on Raw in a TLC match against Cena. Can he defend it against the people's champ?!

I decided to put the Rock, Jericho, Stone Cold, Edge, Michaels and Lesnar into my Universe as it seems Del Rio now has Punk on the payroll lol. They are now a team so i put DX back together and also the Nexus but instead of the originals i added Cody and Dibiase who have been helping Barrett anyway.

No. You can't disband tag team champions. CM Punk will join Air Boom.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

I just finished my most recent PPV. I changed Over the Limit to Starrcade and played through that.

The Universe set up all of these match-ups and I liked them given what has been going on in my Universe.

                    1) 15 minute Iron Man Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Drew McIntyre (c) retains via draw over Zack Ryder

This match was awesome. I controlled Drew and went up 1-0 within 3 minutes but Ryder came back to tie it up fairly soon after. I jumped out to a 3-1 lead after that and bloodied him up and was beating him down for a while before he reversed a finisher, hit his and got right back into the match now 3-2. He had me on the ropes from then on and bloodied me up as well, eventually tying it up with around 3 minutes left until I reversed his finisher and hit mine. He kicked out though, then took me down and tried to pin me with like 30 seconds to go only for me to get up at 2. I took him down with a big boot and tried to cover but I started the pin at 2 seconds left so I had to settle with retaining because of a Draw. Extremely fun match to play.

                    2) Ladder Match for the Tag Team Championship: R-Truth & Zack Ryder def. AirBoom (c)

                    3) Tables Match for the United States Championship: Alex Riley (c) def. Sin Cara

                    4) Triple Threat for the Women's Championship: Kelly Kelly def. Beth Phoenix (c) & Eve

                    5) World Heavyweight Championship: The Miz def. Big Show (c)

Triple H, who has been invisible in my Universe for a while, decided to come down during this match and reinvent himself by turned heel, attacking the Big Show. Miz built up and hit the SCF, which busted Show open, to win the title.

                    6) Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Championship: Dolph Ziggler (c) def. Mark Henry

Mark Henry got jumped by R-Truth on the way to the ring. Ziggler won fairly easily after a ZigZag on the stage.

Well, I'm back in Chicago, so my Universe with my brother-in-law will be on hiatus until around Christmas. We left things in year 2 right after Extreme Rules where I will fight myself in the Royal Rumble Winners match since I currently hold every belt, lol. I have a question... does the Royal Rumble winner fight the winner or loser of the Royal Rumble winner's match?

I guess he's going to swap someone for Brock Lesnar after the draft which makes sense. The title reigns have been a bit lopsided in my favor. I'm sticking with the same three guys though.

Here's a run-down on our guy's career accolades up to today

                        Brother-in-law:

                        John Morrison
                        Titles: N/A
Notes: Morrison started off hot and earned an opportunity at the WWE title at the second PPV (Elimination Chamber). He came up short, then went on to lose some high profile matches to Jack Swagger and Kevin Nash who both became major enemies. It took an entire calendar year for JoMo to reach full momentum and get yet another WWE title shot at the Elimination Chamber. In a chamber match for the WWE title he made it to the final three but was bested once again when he lost to Del Rio.

                        Mason Ryan
                        Titles: 1X United States Champion
Notes: Mason Ryan shocked the world when he upset Dolph Ziggler for the United States Championship at Bragging Rights. His reign spanned three PPVs before losing the title back to Ziggler in an insane cage match. John Morrison attempted to interfere in a match and help Mason to perhaps form a team, but instead, Morrison accidently hit Ryan making him a major enemy. In a tag team match where Mason and McGillicutty took on Morrison and Slater, Mason Ryan was injured by John Morrison and is currently on the shelf.

                        Sheamus
Titles: 1X World Heavyweight Champion, Royal Rumble Winner (Current)
Notes: Sheamus started the year off hot winning the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton at Extreme Rules. However, Sheamus’ run was short (2 PPVs) as he ran into a buzz saw named Cody Rhodes. Sheamus briefly formed “The Great White Rock Band” with Heath Slater, but the team fell apart when Slater turned on his partner. Sheamus and Rhodes feuded for the entire year over both the United States and World Heavyweight Championships, but the Celtic Warrior was never able to recapture gold, constantly being bested by Rhodes in all their encounters but remaining the #1 contender for both belts most of the year. Jaded, Sheamus turned his back on the fans and went heel. Sheamus has a chance to finally recapture the big one at the grandest stage of them all having won the rumble at the prestigious #30 spot.

                        Me:

                        Alberto Del Rio
Titles: 1X WWE Heavyweight Champion (Current), 1X Unified Tag Team Champion (w/ The Rock) (Current).
Notes: Del Rio spent the better part of the year floating in mediocrity. Out of nowhere it seems his career was resurrected as he reformed the Corporation with the Rock to take out common enemies John Cena and Dolph Ziggler. Once Cena turned on the fans and joined the Corporation with Beth Phoenix and Michelle McCool, it was clear Del Rio had the resources he needed to take over Raw. At TLC, Del Rio and the Rock won the Unified Tag Team Championships from Rated RKO, and Del Rio took Dolph Ziggler’s WWE title in the same night. Del Rio has yet to lose either title and will head into Wrestlemania with both.

                        Cody Rhodes
Titles: 3X World Heavyweight Champion (Current), Intercontinental Champion (Current)
Notes: Cody Rhodes is the longest reigning champion in the WWE and is the only superstar to have never lost his (Intercontinental) title despite going with a more classic look that garnered the attention of more main-event caliber talent. Rhodes has Intercontinental title victories over Christian, Henry, Orton, and of course, Sheamus. Rhodes is also on his third reign as World Champion as Shamus has managed to screw him twice in multi-man matches resulting in title reigns for Henry and Undertaker respectively. Rhodes will headline Wrestlemania as World Champion and along with CM Punk he has turned face and reformed The Union. Rhodes and Punk are the #1 contenders for the Unified Tag Team Championships and are trying to stave off the Corporation’s invasion of Smackdown.

                        Dolph Ziggler
Titles: 2X WWE Champion, 3X United States Champion, Royal Rumble Winner
Notes: Dolph Ziggler had an interesting start to his year losing the U.S. title to Kofi Kingston and winning the Royal Rumble in the same night. Dolph would go on to capture the WWE Championship and reclaim his U.S. title at Wrestlemania. Ziggler learned that jealousy breeds envy when his tag team partner Jack Swagger turned on him. During their feud, Ziggler lost his WWE title to Jack Swagger after a short (2 PPV) reign when he competed in a Last Man Standing match where he was decimated before the match and hit with a gutwrench. However, Ziggler recovered his title just a month later and held it for 7 PPVs (a record for a major title), only to lose to Alberto Del Rio. Ziggler embraced the WWE fans occasionally teaming with Cena only to see his potential partner leave him for the Corporation. As a fan favorite Ziggler continues to try and overcome The Corporation as he is a perpetual #1 contender, but he always manages to come up short. In the meantime, Ziggler is the current reigning U.S. Champion.

I kind of just made a rule for myself for ai vs ai matches, especially ones that are non-dq matches.

I make sure to set it to "Pin only" and not "pins or submission" Maybe it's just me but I hate to see a triple threat match end with a sleeper hold while the other guy just stands there and watches. It's really a rule for fatal 4's and triple threats that are non-dq matches though. Regular matches are normal settings...just a thought for you guys that's all

Do certain people get different PPV entrances? I just saw the Undertaker come out at extreme rules and down the ramp where 10 hooded figures with torches, it was probably the coolest thing I've seen in the game so far. Anyone else see something like this?
