Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Sounds like a sweet deal Grumpy! I watched an old RAW IS WAR from '97 this morning; never realized how great wrestling was 'til you watch that!!! Lots of great ideas for Universe now

FOLKS, IF YOU DID NOT READ MY NWO SOULED OUT PPV ON THE LAST PAGE, PLEASE DO BEFORE LOOKING AT THIS. THANK YOU.

    News & Notes from Sunday:
    • The Outsiders are new WWE Tag Team Champions. This means the Dudley Boyz are still TNA & ECW Tag Team Champions (I use the classic belts as ECW Tag Straps).
    • Mick Foley was injured when Big Poppa Pump belly-to-belly suplexed him through a set of stacked tables. His career may be over after only wrestling for 2 weeks!
    • Thus, Scott Steiner is the new ECW Hardcore Champion...and back to representing nWo.
    • Bobby Roode is the new TNA Heavyweight Champion! This will be his second time since he opened up my Universe as champ.
    • Austin Aires made quite the startling return when he violently attacked Roode after his victory. While Aires still holds the X-Div title, it's fairly obvious where his sights are set.
    • The Rock once again defeated Kane to hold on to the WWE Title, and, although the nWo dominated for most of their PPV, the champ was supported by a member of each faction against this New World Order.
Going to try a whole card once again CPU booked.

    Live from Seattle, WA:

Kingston vs. Kozlov. Only because the CPU wants me to. Cutscene: Beth Phoenix attends the match ringside. Highlights: Haha! This was actually great! While my Kofi fought well with tons of high-flying moves, Kozlov nailed both his sig and finisher, only to have a great "comeback" and eventual small package victory! Exactly how it would happen in "real" life. Winner: Kingston. Cutscene: Eve comes out to the ring and escorts Kofi back to the dressing room! Whoo hoo Kofi!

HHH w/ Vickie Guerrero vs. Nash w/ Ziggler. While Trips has his ongoing shenanigans with best friend Shawn over in ECW, that doesn't mean there's not unfinished business to settle with Nash. If you've been following, it was the feud that opened up my Universe and, now, with the nWo domination and D-X back in effect, it'll only get more serious. Cutscene: Nash is attacked from behind by JBL and thrown to the wolf!!! Remember, Nash caused him a match against Zig last week. I suppose Vickie's new stable has both solo Trips & Bradshaw? Could we see a new corporation on the rise? Cutscene: Just a few minues in the ref sent both Zig and Vickie back to the locker! Highlights: Nearly complete domination from the Cerebral Assassin. A spinebuster followed by the STF was enough for the victory. Winner: HHH. Cutscene: Say yes to the Attitude Era 2012!!! JBL, Triple H and Vickie stomp out Nash, and Vick even throws in a chair for Hunter to use against his former buddy, followed by more stomps!!! Lots of boo's here!!

Orton vs. Kane. RKO won the triple threat contender's match against both Sheamus & Ziggler, so with Fatal 4Way towards the end of the month, Kane is still a top contender threat vying for that main event. There's a lot of heat here also when Orton's surprise partner Joker turned on him, leading to the Brother of Destruction reformation. Cutscene: Daniel Bryan runs down the entrance ramp, nails Orton and throws him back into the ring!! Kane went on to dominate shortly after but the Viper held on just enough to take the fight outside the ring. Orton kicked his *** with DDT's and irish whips, but both didn't make it back in time. Winners: Double-Countout.

Main Event (Non-Title): Edge vs. The Rock (WWE Champ).Rematch from last week since Christian interfered and left The Rated R Superstar left for dead for an unsatisfied Rocky. Edge demanded a rematch of legends, so here we go, folks! It's great to have the Hall of Famer back with us! Highlights: Great match as you would expect, and just when you think Edge would pull it off, he's caught with a classic spinebuster and then fires up a "comeback" but it was too late, as Edge charged into a Rock Bottom for the finish! Winner: Rocky. Cutscene: The nWo's newest members, Christian and Cody Rhodes bumrush The People's Champ after the victory! We've got to go, see you this Thursday on E-C-Dubya!!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today is Tournament Thursday!!! Heyman, Bischoff, and Sting want to get these tournaments going, so this is what you will see today, folks.

In case you were wondering, here are the #1 Contender's Brackets (Winners in Bold coloring):
    Spoiler

    <O</O
    <O</O
<O</OX-Division Tourney, Round 1, Match 4 - Extreme Rules: Daniels vs. Dreamer. Just like ECW itself, even tournament matches will have gimmicks. I wish there was a way to change the loading songs that cut between shows...don't you? Highlights: Fun stuff! Daniels tried to avoid the "extreme" but no go: Dreamer irish whips him right threw a corner table. Winner: Dreamer.

TNA/ECW Tag Tourney, Round 1, Match 6 - Falls Count Anywhere: nWo Legacy (Rhodes & Christian) vs. The Flock II (Raven & Justin Credible). Rhodes & Christian jumped the nWo ship about 11 days ago on RAW, and haven't looked back, interfering in The Rock's matches with Edge. Raven & Credible have made Taz' life pretty much hell lately, as well. Who will advance? Highlights: Have to give WWE 12 props for great team entrance customization. Watching these fellas come down the ring was fun. Highlights: After beating down Christian for a while, Rhodes joined the fraw and all-four combatants got wild and hectic. But, despite it being Falls Count Anywhere, the Flock took it a little too far nailing Christian with a chair shot in the ring. It's ECW, but there are still SOME rules. Winners by DQ: nWo.

X-Div Tourney, Round 1, Match 5: Otunga vs. X-Pac. Recently Pac announced he will be joining Thursdays on the ECW brand -- "to get a little closer to the competition", he admits while also stating, "there's no X.. Division without an X.. Pac." -- so this is yet anoter nWo/ECW matchup, despite Pac's D-X allegiance. Highlights: Lots of boo's for Pac, after what he's brothers in arms did to Team Extreme last week! There was a segment where Pac nailed 3 incredible high-flying moves in a row: running plancha, springboard legdrop, and reverse springboard plancha!! Proved how extreme the former Lightning Kid can be. For whatever reason, the person who made this X-Pac did a horrible job at giving him the right signature moves!!! So I finished off Otunga with a DDT and springboard starman splash! lol. Winner: Pac. Despite the CPU booking matches 1 and 2 this week, there were no cutscenes. Weird!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Tonight on...

    marks the return of...

    Stay tuned.

X-Div. Tourney, Round 1, Match 6: Heath Slater vs. Sabin. Enjoyed how Sabin came down to the ring with the M.C.M.G. theme, sorta mocking! Don't think Slater got in one second of offense. Winner: Sabin.

Raven vs. Taz. Although both claim ECW, both have strong ties to TNA, and this interpromotional match-up allows Raven 2 nights of wrestling in a row, seeing how he participated in a tag match last night. Cutscene: After some loud boo's to Raven, Taz appears from under the ring and lays the smackdown on him!!! Highlights: The match didn't start until 5-minutes in as both competitors beat the living daylights out of each other outside of the ring. Cutscene: Missed it because I was button-mashing! Pretty dumb that I have no idea what happened during the middle of the match because of that!! lol. Match was great, with Taz submitting Raven with a crosschoke. Winner: Taz.

Since I wondered what happened in the cutscene, I rematched and come to find out it was Raven who wanted to give up and go back to the locker room! So, on the second try Taz won via countout while Raven paced back 'n forth on the entrance ramp! They should at least just let Raven leave completely!

X-Div, Round 1, Match 7: Yoshii Tatsu vs. Chavo Guerrero. Chavo, along with partner, Rey Mysterio, is the newest member of TNA, and his first official singles matchup is against new Flock member and ECW wrestler, Tatsu. Highlights: These tournament matches give me a great excuse to use guys I would typically NEVER use, and it's been fun using just about the full roster in the game. Seeing how Tatsu is an "evil" wrestler in the new Flock, I gave him an unusual "Japanese Zombie" gimmick where gothic music plays and he waddles down the entrance ramp like a zombie! It's pretty ****ing wild! Another note: I'm noticing a LOT of boo's in all these matches. Man, the people attending all of these events are pretty pissed-off lately!! Time to reevaluate how many faces I have. Probably not many, I'm guessing High-flying action! Tatsu missed the springboard dropkick when Chavo pushed the referee in the way, and made him tapout with a Boston Crab. Winner: Chavo!

Main Event: Bill Goldberg vs. Mason Ryan. With both Bobby Roode and Jeff Hardy granted a week off from Sting due to their 2 amazingly rigorous matches in 3 nights, he wasn't going to leave the crowd without a special announcement. That advertisement is GOLDBERG! Who appeared on Impact briefly about 2 months ago to help out pal James Storm. But Da Man is back, and ready for in-ring action!!! This place is going bananas!!!!!!! It's GOLDBERG!!!!!!!! Highlights: Not to be dethrowned, Mr. Ryan himself has a new entrance theme and it's very similar in epicness to Goldberg...almost mocking the former WCW/WWE great with it's symphonics (it's TNA's Magnus' theme)....

Oh, Elimination Chamber is on...I'll finish later!

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

      Universe Update

      • Orton, Kane, Lesnar, Henry, Gabriel, Barrett, Punk, and Christian have all advanced to the quarterfinals of the KotR tournament. Who will rise to the challenge, and qualify for the Fatal Fourway in two weeks?
      • Can Christian solodify his spot as a contender by taking down Orton tonight?
      • Dolph has a score to settle with Edge after being screwed out of the Intercontinental belt at Over the Limit. Tonight, if Dolph takes down Edge one on one, he will have the stipulation of his choosing at Fatal Fourway!

      Friday Night Smackdown!

Christian (8) v Orton (1) Extreme Rules Match: Orton has being trying desperately to make his way back to the top after losing the belt at Over the Limit to Undertaker. Christian on the other hand, is fresh of his long run as Intercontinental Champion. Both guys have become accustom to No Rules matches over their career's, so I thought it would be a good time to throw a stipulation match into the mix. The match went outside the ring early, and Christian threw Orton over some steel stairs, and then put him in the crowd. As Orton climbed back out, Christian whacked him with a steel chair. 1....2.. Kick out! Christian throws Orton back inside the ring (bad mistake) as Orton tosses Christian into the ropes, and gives him signature DDT. Orton backs his way into the corner and moves in for a punt! But before Orton was done with Christian, he aligned a chair right in the middle of the ring, and pounded his fists on the mat as Christian groggily got to his feet. RKO on the steel chair! 1...2...3!

Rating: ***, Orton wins via pinfall.

Mark Henry (4) v R-Truth (x): For those of you have been following my Universe, you'll know that Justin Gabriel took down Edge in an upset a couple weeks ago on Smackdown. We'll instead of Gabriel showing up for the match, R-truth comes in his place (from under the ring)! The two have had a long feud, and it seems that Truth has come back to dash Henry's hopes at a title run. The question of whether or not he will succeed is the real question.

Before the match got started (they were still outside the ring), R-Truth nailed a finisher on him, but couldn't pin Henry because the match hadn't technically started yet. Immediately, he threw Henry inside the ring, and hit another finisher on him, ending the match almost immediately. Pinning him, Truth ended the match, but not the punishment. R-Truth took a chair from under the ring and went on to beat Henry with it until he knocked him out.

Rating: ** 1/2, Truth wins via pinfall.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to not competing in the first round, R-Truth is not eligible to fight for the title at Fatal Fourway. In his place, both Kane and CM Punk are now eligible for the match!

Lesnar (3) v Barrett (6): With only one slot left at Fatal Fourway, these two guys are going to have to battle it out in the ring tonight. They put on a terrific match, and Barrett's will to make it to the title match was highly evident. Lesnar hit him with a monster German Suplex, followed up by an F-5 Lesnar was so confident, that he nonchalantly went in for the cover. 1...2...Kick Out! Barrett kicked out of the F-5! As an angry Lesnar gave Barrett a couple of hard kicks to the side, and yelled "Stay down!" he went up for a shooting star press, but this time, Barrett was ready for him. Wasteland! Barrett moves in for the cover, hooking the leg 1...2..Kick Out! Barrett stares at the ground in disbelief, his hands covering his face in awe. Lesnar took advantage of Barrett's disbelief and hit him with a german suplex, and decided he'd try the turnbuckle one more time. Finishing Shooting Star Press! 1...2...3! Lesnar moves on!

Rating: *** 1/2, Lesnar wins via pinfall.

Dolph v Edge (c): The winner gets to pick the stipulation of their choice at Fatal Fourway, so there is a lot on the line for tonights Main Event. Edge wasn't going to be taken advantage of, so he sprinted out of his entrance, and slammed Dolph to mat with repeated blows to the face. As he moved in for the spear however, Dolph Zig-Zagged him and moved in for the pin 1...2... Kick Out! An angered Dolph tossed the Ref across the mat, but no matter, it wasn't going to slow him down. Another Zig Zag put Edge on the mat, and right as the Ref woke up, it was just a little too late. .....1...2.. Kick Out! The extra time gave Edge time to make the kick out! An angered Edge gave Dolph a signature DDT and moved in for the Spear. He charged in, but Dolph reversed it into a pin! 1...2....3! Dolph Wins! Before he leaves however, he gets a steel chair from underneath the ring looking to put Edge at a disadvantage at Fatal Fourway. Unfortunately for him, Sheamus sprints out to take the chair, using it to.... What?... He ignores Ziggler, and uses the chair on Edge! Lobsterhead is back from injury in one of the best returns I've seen yet!

Rating: ****, Dolph wins via pinfall

Show Summary: I really loved what happened with Mark Henry (CPU did that, so it came as a surprise to me), and it left room for both Punk and Kane to make it into the Fatal Fourway, which I like. Too many awesome things, including Sheamus's return, happened tonight for me not to give this episode of Smackdown 4 *'s.

                            Quick update:

On the home stretch to MITB PPV. The Federations are heating up. As the show went of the air last week on RAW. The Deadman WWEchamp had a mystery TNA quest return. The Cowboy can came to his aid after a brutal beat down the by the hands of "The Animal Batista". As a said what a great time that would make!...So here we are!!! CPU setup UT and Storm - TAG Vs. on one of Dave's good buddies, the beloved Eddie...(I was like sweet this will will be fun)...Eddiie was Dave's big push in 2009. The match got off with a bang...Storm using his HBK tactics and UT's ground and pound offense...they took it to the them bad. With no real shot they won the match pretty handed- The Deadman wondering around the ring with a look in his eye. (cutscene: Ref rasies both hands in victory as the sly UT decides right there and then he does not need any friends and delivers a clothesline from Hell to Cowboy!...The WWE Universe stands up in shock...The dark days are back and look out!.."Not in my Yard".

Y2J gets the best of Punk for payback in a steel cage-there battles have be off the chart as of late. A rivalry that is getting ready to BREAK THE WALLS DOWN and PIPE BOMBS...only room for one "BEST IN THE WORLD"....shall he see!

CENA and KANE are on step closer to settling this on going battle in a HIAC -someone is going to get hurt really bad!...

DX is just having fun again'...LOL

SD: - With Sheamus going through the roster with vengence. No one is safe in that locker room....Suddenly it seems there a problem with the talent!...things are about to change!...HERE comes the MONEY!!! HINT HINT

                            TNA IMPACT:

Dixie and Sting seem to be working great together, but there are some bad ego's floating around the IMPACT ZONE as of late. Since Hardy lost his TNA Title at 4FW- Bully is walking around like he owns the joint...with Roode. Hardy gets his rematch soon.
There have been some new talent roaming around the backstage...this is going to one hell off a IMPACT.

                            Stay tuned - peace-GK

Picking up during the Goldberg/Mason Ryan match -- which marks the return of Goldberg -- he finished off the Brit with a Jackhammer. Winner: Goldberg. Cutscene: Scott Steiner comes running down from behind and beats down Da Man with a metal pole! For a brief time during Berg's 3-week tenure at TNA, Steiner quickly betrayed the nWo to get Goldberg's back--this may have been a huge swerve all along, seeing how Big Poppa Pump wore the nWo black and white during their PPV!!!

                                -----------------------------------------------------------------------

LIVE from Los Angeles, CA!!!!! My residing place, boo yah!

Kozlov w/ Beth Phoenix vs. Kofi w/ Eve. Cutscene: Kozlov jumps in and lou thesz press's Kofi before the bell rings. After Kofi's domination, Beth persistently distracted the ref...luckily, after her ejection, Kofi was able to hit the Trouble in Paradise for the finish--and hopefully the CPU's booking of Kozlov in the process! Winner: Kingston. Cutscene: Kozlov complains to Beth about the result, and she leaves him alone in the ring. Wow, that lasted!

Ziggler vs. JBL w/ Triple H. Vickie's new stable of JBL & HHH has been getting under the steam of the nWo as of late, and after the chair beatdown on Nash last week, Ziggler wants to get some ounce of revenge if he can. Loving this "New Corperation" of sorts, it's a shame Hunter didn't get out of the limi with him during the entrance! Cutscene: Vickie Guerrero who was banned from managing either JBL or HHH this week, bought a ticket to the event and parked her XL-sized toosh in the front row. Halfway through, Triple H got ejected and still got in a few last shots in on Zig on the concrete. The match would go on a little longer and Zig had some momentum but was spilled out on the concrete then busted open by JBl, who got the pinfall! Winner: JBL. Cutscene: HHH returned to get JBL a chair, but Hall & Nash busted through for the save! Never saw this cutscene before. Glad I'm starting to finally see some new ones.

Orton vs. Nash. Nash stayed in the ring waiting for his next opponent, none other than the Apex Predator, who's been on a huge roll as of late! Cutscene: But unluckily for RKO, he's attacked from behind by Curt Hennig! nWo strikes again! While the ref's out due to a Nash clothesline, Hennig nailed 2 Perfect Plex's and 2 swinging neckbreakers. Easy cover: 1-2-3. Winner: Nash!

Main Event: The Rock & ??????? vs. Cody & Cage. Although there's a mystery tag partner here, there's little surprise who it is considering the damage these new nWo members had inflicted on him in past weeks. Cutscene: Although, "completely retired," Rock waves on Edge!!! Cody & Cage still look shocked because they could have sworn he was through! Highlights: Great tag match! But with a well-timed neckbreaker on the interfering Christian, Rock's momentum lead to an agile DDT for the finish! Winners: Edge & Rocky. Cutscene: Edge and Rock celebrate on the opposite corners! Pretty awesome finish for the 2 legends!!!

We'll see you at ECW this Thursday, my friends! Be there!
