Realistically, how often does a guy like Jinder work? And even when he’s working it’s probably in a squash where he hardly takes any bumps. I’ll sign up for that.

In ring stuff is the easy part of the job. Its everything else about it which sucks.

        Probably mostly house shows.

So top guys want out while the jobbers are signing new deals lol.
They literally want to sign EVERYONE, even if means just having guys sit at home and do nothing for extended periods of time.

Rollins and Reigns want to stay, because of course they do. They're figured in. Talent like the Iconics want to stay because their strength is not in-ring, so that's perfect for WWE.

Rusev wants out, apparently. Fun times all around.

That's a problem with wwe that AEW is trying to avoid. They only want talent who'll actually be on shows.

Wwe basically has a roster for Raw,sd,nxt, main event,205 live and then superstars who are mainly just on house shows. That's like 6 rosters. And even then, of those 6 diff rosters, some people dont appear every week so it's even more spread out.

I thought you were a big rest proponent. Now the WWE needs to reduce roster size which would cause more work for more guys?

There should be rest, but people should be utilized more as well.

The longer the matches you compete are, the better chance of fatigue. And injuries are more likely to happen with fatigue. If they had shorter matches then it'd be less work and theh could utilize more of roster.

If they did trim down roster, having guys compete more often but in shorter matches still wouldn't be as bad.

Wwe won't take an offseason, but at the very least they should have 2 diff parts of the year where theres little to no house shows. No house shows in April and maybe reduced amounts in December(christmas could be a double taping show, and new years could be "best of year" show. So superstars have 2 weeks of no tv tapings and little to no house shows)

                  Re: WWE Off-Topic

If only it was as simple as bigger roster = more rest for everyone. That won't happen as long as the WWE has the same 15 wrestlers every week on Raw+Smackdown. They could have 200 wrestlers on the active roster and we'd see the same 15 in matches, with the other the 185 sitting at home or chasing the 24/7 champion.

                    Re: WWE Off-Topic

Dave Melzter and his theories are back as he tries to figure out why Baron Corbin is getting the push he is getting. He says that the reason they keep pushing him is because Vince believes Corbin is a guy that the women will swoon for.

Outside of Melzter's speculation, more speculation from others say his push is just due to the fact that management and Vince like him, plain and simple. They were happy with the heat he was getting after being named Angle's Wrestlemania opponent and that it usually takes years to get that kind of heat.

Take that with a grain of salt but.... hopefully after Extreme Rules Rollins and Lynch can move on from the boring tandem of Corbin and Lacey.

I'm going to give Vince credit for being semi sane and rational and say that he likes Corbin because he's tall, can bump around decently, and has a heel look to him. Vince can't possibly believe that Corbin has good heat.

It's just like sports. You still need players riding the bench in case the starters get hurt. Case in point: WrestleMania 32.

Also he's not as terrible in the ring as everyone makes him out to be and he's decent at worst on the mic. He has 2 real, real good looking moves in the End of Days (the most protected move in the entire company, btw) and the Deep Six. He'd be perfect in a role like Sheamus. Booked in a heel tag team with a guy that can go in ring but can't really connect with the crowd on his own because he ain't a great talker.

                            Re: WWE Off-Topic

I think Corbin is just part of what modern WWE is. Using real feelings to dictate a superstars push as opposed to just people reacting to a story.

People legitimately don't want Baron Corbin around in these moments so they boo. They'd boo him and want to see someone like Rollins beat Corbin way more than a guy like Samoa Joe. Not because Corbin is better, but because they have more negative feelings towards Corbin vs someone else like Joe.

Same with Shane/Steph heat. It's more people legitimately not wanting to see them anymore and having enough of them which causes fans to boo. But that gets more of a reaction out of people than a normal heel would get.

This is 100% about not letting guys go to the competition. Having Mike and Maria, Mojo, and Jinder around long term affects Wrestlemania 0%. Depth was somehow never an issue when they used to future endeavor a dozen wrestlers multiple times a year.

They used to not have as many spots to fill either, or as much money to keep a roster of 200 people on board.
