Who forgave Chris Benoit? At best people just acknowledge that he was great in the ring. That doesn’t mean everyone’s cool with the murdering part of his life.

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Sadly that's true for wrestling and most celebrities too. As fans you just have to get used to differentiating the person you see and like on tv vs who they actually are (or turned out to be) in real life.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Not one person has forgiven Benoit for what he did. You can seperate the art from the artist but at the same time his art will always be hand and hand with what he did, and this is coming from someone who liked Benoit.Last Movie Watched: Morbius (2022).
Last TV Show Watched: MARVEL's What If?...(S3:E7).

Re: WWE Off-Topic
In Hogans mind he probably thinks because people can separate the person and the guy they saw on tv means they forgave him.

Turns out killing your family or being racist are two situations that make it tougher for people to do so.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
The thing about Hogan is that it isn't a matter of just one mistake or lapse of judgement; its an entire career of crappy behavior and never growing as a person. We got 20-30 years worth of stories similar to what he did to Taker that just make someone go "you know what this is just a pos human being."
And I think his citing some fictional Benoit all-is-forgiven narrative is just yet another instance of the same. Its easier to separate the art from the artist when the two are not as intertwined as Hogan'sLast edited by ggsimmonds; 09-03-2024, 08:47 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Off-Topic
Speaking of controversial.....
Hogan was on Logan Paul's podcast (that alone should tell you how crazy it'll be) and one comment he said was him commenting on fans forgiving him for his past mistakes saying that if fans can forgive Benoit for what he did, they can forgive Hogan.
There's so many things to say about that.....Comment

Cody vs Solo in a Texas bull rope match advertised for a live show in the UK.
I know we just had a strap match, but whenever we get the Cody vs Orton feud, I'd love seeing one of those matches being a bullrope match.
The last match Dusty ever officially had was a bullrope match vs Orton so it would be fitting too.Comment

WWE is looking to bring in another member of the Anoa'i family. The cousin of Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, Vaughan Anoa'i who plays Volleyball at Georgetown University was backstage at Smackdown last week.

Kiana James out the rest of the year with a leg injury.
Too bad they don't focus more on people who are injured to make people not forget them.
Kiana could've easily been inserted in an assistant GM like role if they wanted. Or a manager since she's doing the "business woman entrepreneur" gimmick so she could have her own business with different talent as her "clients".

Re: WWE Off-Topic
WWE has trademarked SNME (surprised they haven't had the rights all along and that AEW never went after it). Rumors that they could be doing a show in December.
It's been almost 20 years I think since their last SNME when they briefly brought it back in the RA Era.Comment
