I agree he should have dropped it *Stephen A voice* HOWEVAH I don't blame him on not wanting to drop it to Shawn especially when you try to act like a professional on your way out but the other guy wants to act like a little bitch. They could have gone with the rumored plan of him dropping it the following night.

The one thing I never understood, Bret signed a 20 year deal in October 1996 and only a year later Vince realized he couldn't afford the contract? Did he actually have to let him go after Survivor Series, couldn't he just kept him through Mania or another year, etc?

Lol. If someone over and successful (CM Punk) wants to leave WWE, people say he/she a jerk, egotistical, ungrateful, etc. If someone midcard or lower wants to leave, people say "who cares? They didn't draw a dime. Couldn't get over. They won't be missed." It's always something.
