I thought last nights raw was very bad nothing happened and we still dont know the main event for the PPV.

I think part of it is that they don't know. It's obviously going to be Cena if he's ready, but they may not know until the last week if he will be or not, so they're a bit lost on how to set this up.

So I was looking up title reigns and saw that Cena had the belt for over a year? How could that happen? Thank goodness I missed out on that era before returning.

And I think Punk is primed to drop the belt but how can the WWE justify him not taking on The Rock at the rumble for the gold?

Like you I just started watching recently and missed that but Cena is much better then Shameus. Shameus does nothing for me any any direction. Punk vs Rock would be pretty good and they wouldnt do cena vs rock again so you should be right.

Just a thought about the ending... Was it supposed to be a "cm punk is all alone, he can't trust anyone, nobody has his back" moment, or am I reading too much into it and it was just a weak raw?

I believe you're overthinking it.

Punk did the same thing a few weeks ago.

Punk decides to fight Cena because he is more scared of The Ryback.

Punk loses.

Bigger picture.

If Punk loses the belt any time between now and Extreme Rules it's just stupidity. They've already set it up for him to take on The Rock at Royal Rumble. Soon as he used the rock bottom it became necessary for him to have that match,have it be for the title and win. Then go on to WM and face Stone Cold also for the title.

If anything though I see Rock vs Punk at Royal Rumble then Rock vs Cena II at WM 29 where Cena wins the title.

The Rock doesn't really need the title, nor does Cena though, but the "build up" would be insane and it truly would be for "all the marbles", so to speak.
