Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

      Smackdown- Hunico defeated Great Khali.
After the match, Khali slapped away Hunico's offer of a handshake. Khali has hit a cold streak recently, losing to Cody Rhodes, Christian and Hunico. Later in the show, Khali demanded to be traded to Raw for a fresh start. The general manager agreed. [I plan on having Khali turn heel on Raw]

      Undertaker defeated Mark Henry
Last week, Henry attacked Undertaker before their match, which Henry won, many say due to his attack pre match. This week Undertaker returned the favor, attacking Henry pre match and dominating the World's Strongest Man en route to a victory.

      Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton
For the second week in a row, Daniel Bryan got the upset win, making Orton submit to the guillotine. Sheamus and Daniel Bryan have been rivaling, this week the champion Sheamus sat at ringside to watch his Over the Limit number one contender defeat the Viper.

      King of the Ring

As the show began, new Brahma Bull champion Rock strolled to ringside, more cocky and arrogant as ever.Rock trashed Steve Austin, and asked general manager Vince McMahon to come to the ring. The two have formed a strong alliance recently, it seems. Rock asked Vince to name the next PPV after the Great One, and Vince obliged. In three weeks, the week after Over the Limit, King of the Ring will host Rock Bottom. Former champion Steve Austin ha heard enough and marched to ringside. Austin reminded Vince and Rock that he has an automatic rematch clause and he will use it at Rock Bottom. Rock and Vince walked away before things could turn physcial.

      British Bulldog defeated Godfather
Live from Los Angeles, the European champion British Bulldog put on a good match with Godfather. After one running powerslam didn't put the Godfather away, Bulldog hit a second one to win the match. Godfather used a variety of power moves, such as spinebusters and clotheslines, to punish the champion. After the match, Bulldog extended a handshake, and Godfather accepted, Bulldog earning Godather's respect. As JBL once said, win or lose, Godfather will be partying tonight, now possibly with his new friend Bulldog.

Mankind vs. Big Bossman with Ken Shamrock
It's no secret that general manager Vince McMahon doesn't like Mankind. Tonight, Vince put Mankind against his biggest goon, Bossman. Mankind had a good strategy, attacking and focusing on the bigger Boss Man's legs. At several points, Shamrock distracted mankind and Bossman capitalized. Bossman would dominate Mankind, focusing on the ribs with power moves. After the match, Mankind was evaluated by doctors and it has been revealed that Mankind fractured a rib. If this was some kind of message sent by McMahon, message received.

      Eddie Guerrero vs. Paul Wight
Guerrero jumped the gun, hitting a tiltawhirl headscissors takedown then trying to steal the win with a rollup. Wight was angered, and threw Guerrero all over the ring. Guerrero was resilient, hitting several hurricanranas and attacking the giant's legs. After a chokeslam, many thought the match was over. Yet Guerrero fought on. Eddie used a variety of lucha-libre moves, and even locked in a cross arm bar on Wight. Eddie fought courageously, but a second chokeslam sealed the victory for Paul Wight. After the match, Guerrero slapped away Wight's handshake. After several similar instances recently, some have said many of the WWE wrestlers has no respect anymore.

Hawk with Animal vs. Shawn Michaels with Triple H
Two of King of the Ring's premiere tag teams squared off tonight, only in singles action.
Animal and Triple H began brawling outside after exchanging insults. The two were then kicked out of the ringside area by the referee. Hawk overpowered Michaels and slowed down the quick Heartbreak Kid. Hawk nailed a neckbreaker perfectly, and Michaels looked to be finsihed. HBK got the ropes, though, and the match continued. Michaels started to fight back, and tuned up the band, hitting the sweet chin music. Hawk kicked out of the subsequent pin, and the match yet again continued. Hawk hit a perfect superplex, a second snap neckbreaker, and got the pin. Fan favorite Hawk got the victory, and the fans enjoyed the arrogant Michaels being beaten.

      Stone Cold vs. Kane
Former champion Austin looks to avenge himself with a victory over Kane. Last week, Kane slapped away Austin's handshake after Austin defeated Kane. The referee was inadvertently knocked out by Kane before the match started, as Austin ducked Kane's punch, and the referee was the victim instead. Kane tried to take advantage, going to get a sledgehammer. Austin stopped the Big Red Machine, and the referee gained consciousness. Kane and Austin brawled on the outside for much of the match. "This isn't a wrestling match, this is a brawl" Michael Cole exclaimed. After Kane hit a chokeslam, the match was over. What does this do to the Brahma Bull title picture? Find out next week, on King of the Ring.

So, it's honestly a quite interesting universe, i'm really only gonna give results from the PPVs, and for Elimination Chamber, I plan on doing match summaries like my first post on this thread.

                Elimination Chamber:

ok, to be honest, I didn't watch any matches other than the Elimination chamber matches, but the only changes were that Dean Ambrose became the US champ, and R-Truth and Cody Rhodes became tag team champs.

World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match: Justin Gabriel (C) vs. CM Punk vs. Yoshi Tatsu vs. Ted DiBiase vs. Hunter Miller vs. Heath Slater
Match summary: The reigning champ and Yoshi Tatsu started off the fight, and started what would be an intense match. Yoshi took control and performed many high flying moves on Gabriel. CM Punk entered next, and Tatsu and Justin forgot the start of the match, and took it to the Straight-Edge Superstar as a team, but, that team didn't last long. Hunter Miller entered next, and him and Yoshi Tatsu renewed their long-lasting rivalry. Punk was dominating Gabriel, and Miller was doing work against Tatsu. Heath Slater entered, and when he did, the tides changed. Tatsu and Gabriel, with help from Slater, started doing damage to Miller and Punk, respectively. DiBiase came in next, and right after he did, Gabriel was busted open by a GTS and pinned. His elimination meant that there would be a new champion. Yoshi Tatsu eliminated Hunter Miller with a submission move I can say that I had never seen before. Interestingly enough, I saw it more than once this match, when DiBiase eliminated Tatsu with the same submission hold. This left Heath Slater, CM Punk, and Ted DiBiase. My money was on Ted DiBiase, as he was standing inside the ring resting while Punk and the 1 man band were battling outside the ring on the steel structure. I had certainly thought that Punk was done as Slater got a possum pin on Punk, and got a 2 7/8 count on the pin. Slater was busted open, and Slater and Punk finally got back in the ring, and DiBiase, who was well rested, managed to sneak the pin on Punk after Slater did all the work. The rest DiBiase took definitely helped, as he did very little to Slater, and got the pin, and became the new World Heavyweight Champion.
                Winner: Ted DiBiase

                WWE Championship Elimination Chamber Match:
John Cena (C) vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho vs. Kofi Kingston vs. The Gorilla vs. Epico
Match summary: It must not have been a Champion's day, as John Cena started off the match with Kofi Kingston. Very little moves had been done by the time Daniel Bryan entered the match, and Goatface and Kofi started teaming up on John Cena, to the cheers of nearly everyone older than 10. (Those who don't like Cena) Enter The Gorilla. He entered, and the match changed, as matches always seem to do when the 4th entry comes in. Cena began taking it to Daniel Bryan and to the dismay of many, Kofi Kingston was beating on the Gorilla. Y2J entered the match, and began/continued a rivalry with Daniel Bryan, who was then hit by the Five Knuckle Shuffle and busted open. Cena hit Jericho with the Attitude Adjustment, but Jericho kicked out after a 1-count. By this point, Epico had entered. In the chaos of Daniel Bryan and The Gorilla battling on the outside, and Epico and Cena battling in the corner of the ring, Kofi Kingston hit Jericho with the Trouble In Paradise, and honored Jericho by giving him the crimson mask. It looked bad for my favorite superstar, but again he kicked out. The Gorilla was the first one eliminated, and he was pinned by Daniel Bryan. John Cena busted Epico open on the outside of the map, and shortly after Jericho made Kofi bloody, however Kofi quickly eliminated Jericho. Daniel Bryan made Kofi Kingston tap with the No Lock while John Cena was being pinned by Epico, but not being counted. Cena kicked out at 1 (15). Cena hit Daniel with the Attitude Adjustment, and pinned him, and celebrated with the "You Can't See Me" taunt he is well known for, and Epico threw him through one of the pods. Cena was the 6th man bloody in a 6 man match, after taking a knee to the face. Epico hit a move from the top of a pod, and pinned Cena. Epico became the WWE Champion... Unbelievable Elimination Chamber event.
                Winner: Epico

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

                    WRESTLEMANIA!!!
                    6-man-over-the-top-rope Battle Royal:
Sheamus vs. Roman Reigns vs. John Cena vs. Jack Swagger vs. Hunico vs. David Otunga
Match summary: Going to keep this short, but i'm typing about this live. Sheamus attempted to eliminate Swagger twice in the first 30 seconds, but failed. John Cena attempted to eliminate Hunico twice as well, but failed. David Otunga was the first one eliminated, and was taken out by Jack Swagger. Cena and Swagger attempted to eliminate Hunico, but both failed. Cena then turned on Swagger, and threw him over the top rope. Hunico took out the big Irishman's legs, and even busted him open with a drop kick to the face. Roman Reigns came victim to the five knuckle shuffle, and got a cut just above the eye and was eliminated by Cena. Hunico took his time in the corner of the ring as Cena and Sheamus went at it, until Sheamus was leaning against the ropes, when Hunico knocked Sheamus out of the match, turned around and took an Attitude Adjustment out of the ring and allowed John Cena to win the United States Champion, which I didn't know was on the line, and will not edit it above.
Winner and NEW US CHAMPION: John Cena

Alicia Fox (C) vs. Kelly Kelly (Women's Championship):
Match summary: Alicia had this match won for weeks. She had defeated Kelly Kelly in previous weeks, and started off dominating the match. Alicia Fox hit Kelly Kelly with her finisher multiple times, and won the match in under two minutes.
                    Winner: Alicia Fox

Cody Rhodes & R-Truth (C) vs. Dolph Ziggler & Nick Watson (WWE Tag Team Championship):
Match summary: R-Truth and the Show-Off started this match off, but I should say that Dolph Ziggler started off the match by himself, as it seemed like R-Truth wasn't doing anything to Ziggler. This match could have ended about 3 seconds after R-Truth was busted open, but Cody Rhodes distracted the ref like he's done many times before. Ziggler made the trade to Nick who has drawn many comparisons to Jeff Hardy (facepaint & shirt style) He put Rhodes on the top rope and hit him with a Stunner, and with the time Rhodes was on the ground, tagged in Dolph Ziggler , who did a move, threw Rhodes into their corner, and and tagged Watson back in. Nick Watson hit his own style of RKO on Rhodes, and R-Truth attempt to break it up was stopped by a drop kick from Dolph. 1. 2. 3. New Tag Champs, look to hear of this team a LOT from here on.
Winners: Dolph Ziggler & Nick Watson

                    World Heavyweight Championship:
Ted DiBiase vs. Brodus Clay (Royal Rumble Winner):
Match summary: Brodus was apparently very excited, as he taunted immediately, and was thrown outside the ring directly after. Brodus Clay actually shook off the excitement, and started off the match very well. The rest of the match is questionable. This was the first back and forth match I had witnessed in quite a while. Ted DiBiase started running away from the funkasaurus at one point, and caught Brodus running at him and slammed his head against the steel ring post and his face now matched his red outfit. DiBiase took his time, and got sent through a barricade as a result. It was painfully obvious that Brodus Clay hadn't been in a Championship match before, as he rolled into the ring and taunted while the ref counted to 10. He may have won the match, but the championship stays with DiBiase. Maybe the Million Dollar Championship will have to make a return after a successful title retention at WrestleMania.
Winner: Brodus Clay via countout (DiBiase retains)

Ryback (C) vs. CM Punk (Intercontinental Championship):
Match summary: Cody Rhodes interfered. No contest.
                    Winner: N/A

                    Match 6:
Match summary: This was just a filler match.
                    Winner: ???

                    WWE Championship Match:
                    Epico (C) vs. Daniel Bryan
Match summary: The champion came out to prove his win at Elimination Chamber wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. Daniel Bryan barely got a move on him. Disappointed final three matches to a WrestleMania that started off so good.

The only issues I've had with either CAWs or downloaded arenas... Any time in universe mode I've used a created/downloaded arena and CAWs (including downloaded ones) the game freezes if you try to edit the matches on the card. If you use the default matches, you're fine.

This is a well documented problem.

Also, on my own universe. I'm going to get some time soon to finish it. I'll try to post my rosters, but as a relatively new member half my posts have to be approved by a moderator, and as such never show up. Hope this phase passes soon, I'd love for you guys to give me some feedback on how you think it's going.

                      CP,

I have now downloaded all my CAW's and what arenas I want. I might need a few more arenas to accommodate my PPV's. Now going through my rosters and assigning allies and enemies. I plan on just editing my own matches. Not really caring about cut scenes. This is my 1st actual WWE game. Never have had a wrestling game unless you count old school Nintendo's 8 bit Pro Wrestling game.

In the mean time I am enjoying everyones write ups. I get ideas that help with mine.

Do people mainly let the computer handle booking or do it yourself and not care about cutscenes and what not?

                          Raw Part 2
                          R Truth defeated Epico
Kofi Kingston came to ringside before the match started to support his tag partner, R Truth. Kofi's presence boosted Truth's confidence as he dominated Epico.

Miz and David Otunga vs. CoBro (Santino Marella and Zack Ryder)
Intercontinental champion Miz has been rivaling with US champion Santino Marella. Miz said last week that he has hired the Harvard graduate Otunga as his lawyer, "because I'm a movie star, TV star and the biggest star in this company," Miz brashly stated. Otunga and Miz have formed a tag team as well. Before the match began, Miz and Otunga high-fived to show the strength of their alliance. Both teams showed great chemistry, performing several tag team maneuvers. In the end, Miz hit a Skull Crushing Finale on Santino for the victory.

Number one contender match- Kane vs CM Punk
Former WWE champion Punk wants his rematch with Brock Lesnar at Over the Limit. To earn that victory, he must defeat Kane. The winner of this match will face Kurt Angle next week to determine the true contender for Lesnar, as Kurt Angle got the upset win over Lesnar earlier tonight. The two went back and forth, and it took 3 GTS for Punk to win. After the match, champion Lesnar attacked Punk.

                          Smackdown
                          Hunico defeated Justin Gabriel
R Truth and Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger
Mystery Opponent vs. ted Dibiase- Steel Cage
Jinder Mahal was the mystery opponent, but Dibiase prevailed.

                          Undertaker vs Mark Henry
These two have feuded the recent weeks. Pre match attacks have been the basis of the feud. Before this match, the referee was inadvertently knocked down. Nothing came of it as the two just wanted to beat each other with their hands. Henry attacked Undertaker's arms the entire match. Undertaker hit a chokeslam followed by a Tombstone and was victorious.

                          Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
In a preview of their Over the Limit title match, World Heavyweight champion Sheamus squared off with Daniel Bryan. Bryan has made Randy Orton tap out in two consecutive weeks, making Bryan appear to be on a hot streak. Sheamus dominated early on but Bryan started to rally. After countering a Pale Justice, Bryan locked in the dangerous Guillotine that made Randy Orton submit twice. Sheamus escaped. A lethal roundhouse kick appeared to knock Sheamus unconscious. Bryan locked in the Guillotine for a second time but the Celtic Warrior escaped again. Another roundhouse kick put the champion away. Daniel Bryan is riding a wave of momentum. Is it enough to beat Sheamus when the title's on the line, when the lights are on bright?

I book them myself because I got no cutscenes the week I let the computer book them. Plus, letting the computer book your matches, takes away a big purpose of "My" Universe.
