Barrett and Miz will probably work the pre-show, further devaluing the IC title.

It's not, but there's a point where they get to a price point where even for Wrestlemania I'm just going to stream because I'm just not willing to pay that much.
$70 is that price point. It's more about principle than whether or not I could actually afford it.Last edited by Bellsprout; 03-24-2013, 02:33 PM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: WrestleMania 29 - (4/7/13)
Don't restaurants and bars (ex. Buffalo Wild Wings, similar local establishments) commonly broadcast Wrestlemania now? Why would I consider plunking down $70 for a pay-per-view when I can go out into public, watch the matches, and buy dinner and refreshments, all for half the price at worst?
I'm not sure where the breaking point is, and admittedly I don't buy wrestling pay-per-views often anymore, but $70 for four hours of wrestling-related entertainment is a bit steep to me.Comment

This should be the permanent Wrestlemania theme.

Why not pay the $60 then? Assuming you were going to order it.#RespectTheCultureComment

Because I'm not going to watch it in SD just to settle.
And also because now I'm angry at them and I don't want them to have any of my money. If anything, they should be cutting the price of PPVs.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

It's Wrestlemania, so ill be ordering it regardless. If its too expensive then throw a party or something and have people chip in to lessen the cost.
Also I know it would be miserable for everyone involved but I kinda hope it rains. I'm picturing the end of ALI which was so epic.Comment

Re: WrestleMania 29 - (4/7/13)
People want high quality stuff but refuse to pay the cost to get it and then when there's a "cheaper" option, then people act like they're "too good" for that. That's just my observation on things I've noticed with society nowadays but I find it funny at times.#RespectTheCultureComment

Who knew $5 could break so many pockets.

Re: WrestleMania 29 - (4/7/13)
I understand that. I'm not defending them because I think it's ridiculous to pay $70 for any WWE PPV Event, Wrestlemania included, as well. My post was moreso complaining about the increase when there are "cheaper" options out there as well.
The thing is how much does this recent "price increase" have to do with Rock-Cena II and the "hype" around that and the fact that it's being advertised as "NY/NJ" even though it's entirely in NJ? I'm sure there's a much higher demand for it this year(despite most of the IWC, myself included, admitting that last year's match wasn't anything special)so of course, you can't be surprised when they increased the price a tad.
How many times have they increased the price for WrestleMania over the years? Serious question BTW#RespectTheCultureComment
