Again, you act like he wasn't told to say these things.

You're piratically hating a guy for doing what his boss says?

Making your ppv seem to have a bigger attendance figure than it really does.......every wrestling company in history has done that. Where they started acting like the people watching were morons is when they started adding numbers to Goldbergs "streak" to make it seem more impressive. On Nitro he's 57-0. By the time Thunder rolls around he's 70-0. And I know the bosses are telling them to say it, but if they were gonna do that they could have done it in a way that seemed plausible.

I watched that last night, what a complete trainwreck of a ppv that was. Meng was terrible in the opening match, The Renegade is one of the worst wrestlers I've ever seen, I can't even find the words to describe how laughable the Dungeon of Doom stuff was, and Heenan had no clue what the rules were for the triple threat match for the tag titles. WCW from the time Hogan arrived until the nWo formed is the worst wrestling I've seen

It didn't help that they got rid of talented wrestlers like Steve Austin to make room for Hogan sidekicks like Jim Duggan and then buried their one monster heel. I still shake my head at how fast Vader when from *** kicker to afterthought and joke status when Hogan showed up.

after looking back at the Golden Era (although im not through yet) a couple of notes

the Honky Tonk Man is hot garbage lol. seriously. i never liked him as a kid either but he does nothing for me. he is more annoying than anything. he doesnt even look like Elvis, nor can he even sing (which would have greatly helped the gimmick IMO). all he has in the ring is basic moves (suplex, body slam, blah blah). unless your a huge Elvis fan, i dont see how anyone could like him or find him entertaining.

anybody notice that Big John Studd's music was just a remixed version of Hacksaw jim duggan's theme? lol

i wasnt a big fan of him when i was younger, but Bad News Brown was pretty good. i love his whole "mess with me, and ill **** you up" vibe. its Hilarious that in 2 straight Survivor Series, he walked out on his team after a teammate accidentally hits him LMAO.

The Million Dollar Man I.M.O is one of the top 10 heels ever. maybe even top 5. his Promo's were always good and he was very good in the ring. Dibiase took hold of that character and made it his own and made you believe that was really him

it seemed to me that Greg The Hammer Valentine was just a chubby ric flair ripoff lol

i never knew the Repo man was Smash from Demolition. wow.

i forgot that the Survivor Series used to actually be on Thanksgiving. i think they should go back to doing that.
"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

                        lol

I was just getting in to wrestling during the middle of his IC title reign, but I think his whole gimmick besides being an Elvis impersonator was that he basically had no business being a champ but he somehow managed to keep his hands on the title for over a year by getting DQ'd, counted out, or winning with outside interference. Him declaring himself the greatest of all time just added to the ridiculousness of his character. He could draw heat though.

I think Studd may have actually had the music first, not that it really matters. I can remember Studd having the music at WM V and I'm pretty sure that was before Duggan had music. Kind of amazing that I can remember something like that from 25 years ago, yet I have trouble remembering something from last week at work

That was part of Honky's gimmick was that he wasn't very good in the ring, yet would find ways to hang on to the title. Gorilla and Jesse would mention Honky's questionable in-ring skills frequently. He did draw pretty good heat, though.

Greg Valentine was a tag team partner of Flair's back in the late-70's, and he certainly borrowed a lot of Ric's material, including the delayed bumps after taking some punches or chops. Still, he was a pretty solid hand.

That's funny about Bad News doing the same thing two straight years at Survivor Series. He was another guy that while limited, drew good heat.

DiBiase would've been a multiple-time champion in a later era. One of the all-time great characters and heels.
