The only thing I really remember about the Brawl for it All is The Godfather winning one of his matches by forfeit because he offered his opponent a night with his finest hoes

I'm almost 100 percent certain that was just a regular match on Raw. I don't think the Godfather was THE Godfather when Brawl For All was going on.

I think he actually was The Godfather at the time. I know he had the cornrows.

The main things I remember from the Brawl for All are...1.) Dan Severn went full out MMA in his first round, dominated, then withdrew his name from the tournament, either because he knew he would likely dominate, or he was afraid to lose and hurt his reputation as legit fighter. and 2.) they touched on this during the countdown earlier, and on the Attitude Era DVD....Bart Gunn dominated. He beat the hell out of everyone he faced.

Yeah, if I'm remembering right, it took place in late '98? The Rock took over the Nation after Wrestlemania in '98 so Godfather was going by that name but he hadn't really established what the character would eventually become around '99 - '00.

I definitely remember the match that he came out and offered up the ladies instead of the match. He did that a few times actually, I think only one person actually took him up on it though. Think it might have been Tajiri? lol

I just looked at the brackets so he didn't do it for the Brawl for All, but I'm pretty confident that he at least offered his hoes to someone that took them on an episode of Raw that had the tournament going on. I feel like there is a pretty good chance it was vs Tajiri

He was the Godfather. He started going by that name in 98, Brawl for All was 99

                      Absolutely correct.

Only 4 years removed from his Kama the Supreme Fighting Machine days.

They could've really used Bart Gunn's win to start a good push for him. Sadly this knockout was where it ended

According to Hardcore Holly in his book(which was actually pretty good), the WWE was so sure that "Dr.Death" Steve Williams was gonna win the Brawl for All(mainly because Jim Ross talked him up as such a legit bad ***) that they paid him the prize money up front.

That sucks for Bart Gunn. Williams gets a pay day and Gunn gets an opportunity to get knocked out cold by Butterbean

Just looked it up, Brawl for All ran from June of '98 to August '98. Godfather did start going by that name in '98 but the gimmick wasn't the fun loving, outlandish pimp with a hoe train gimmick that everybody now knows it as yet. That didn't start until well after the Nation was done. According to Holly also, that Butterbean fight was punishment for knocking out Williams.

On the note of Godfather though and how awesome he was...I hate that I wasn't watching Smackdown when this happened, this is priceless.

Holly talked about that too. The rest of the boys had tired of JR constantly yapping about how "Dr.Death" was gonna kick everybodies *** in that tournament. They were all happy when Bart beat him.......well everybody except JR. Apparently the whole thing with Butterbean was supposed to be a work and bean agreed to do business. Somewhere along the line the WWE decided to change it to a shoot and well you saw what happened.

The gist of it all is that Holly is saying that the WWE changed it to a shoot in order to punish Bart for screwing up their plans. That it for what it's worth, but I have heard a couple of other guys say the same thing.
