WCW didn't make money off PPV's. At least, in their later days I know they didn't, that money went right back to the parent company.

That's why Nitro gave away bigger matches more often than RAW did/does. Their goal from the start was just to beat WWE weekly - not necessarily to put on the best wrasslin' shows.

WCW didn't make money off PPV's. At least, in their later days I know they didn't, that money went right back to the parent company.

That's why Nitro gave away bigger matches more often than RAW did/does. Their goal from the start was just to beat WWE weekly - not necessarily to put on the best wrasslin' shows.

It was said on the round table called out door events I believe with Kevin Nash and J.J. Dillon that WCW never made a penny on it's ppv.
