He was in an era where the belt changed hands pretty rarely, and there were a lot of other mega stars. Besides Hogan, there was Andre, Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Taker, and the Ultimate Warrior. And then on the back end of his run, there was Bret, Diesel, and HBK. And there were 8 reigns between 87 and 96 of 230 days or more. He was just in the wrong era as far as winning the title.

Patterson and his damn sexual innuendos, also I'm so glad they showed the whole Mean Gene botch from Summerslam 89.

DiBiase was supposed to win the belt at Wrestlemania IV but damn Honky Tonk Man didn't want to drop the IC title to Macho Man. So they gave the Macho Man the strap and created the Million Dollar title for Ted.

Wonder why they stopped the Clashes in 97?

Probably because they had 12 PPVs/year by then. I don't think they did before 1997.

So WWE has started a referral program for the network. Too bad I know only four or five people who may sign up one day and too bad it's only for WWEShop.com, would rather take money off the next renewal lol

*Offer valid 5/5/14-5/31/14 for United States WWE Network subscribers only. Referred friends must reside in the United States and must have a confirmed WWE Network subscription at or before 11:59 pm PT on 5/31/14 to be eligible. Limit 10 Promotional Gift Cards for all valid referrals per WWE Network account for a total value of up to $250. Please allow at least 5 business days from the date the referred friend’s subscription is confirmed for the account holder and referred friend to receive the promotional gift card codes by email. Promotional Gift Cards expire 7/31/14.

Awesome. Loved anytime a Clash would be on. They were the closest thing I had to watching a WCW PPV. Growing up in WWF country, WCW felt like a whole other world back then.

I'll never forget Flair vs. Scott Steiner for the Heavyweight Championship.

I hear you. Back in my day it was NWA/WCW on Saturday nights in a small Atlanta studio with Tony Schivane and a crockett. I was in PA and it was WWE all the time. WCW would only hit Philly ever so often
