I watched that match a month or so ago and I remember leading up to the chairshot, the match was kinda lame. Man that was a brutal chairshot though.

The return shots were too. Eddie caught JBL pretty good a couple times.

The major difference is classics didn't cut into their ppv revenue.

          From Wrestling Observer:

--Regarding Canada and the WWE/Rogers deal, an update from our audio earlier is that there will be no Internet component of the WWE Network in Canada at first. It will be strictly a television station distributed by Rogers, available through Rogers cable. Other cable providers in Canada will have it offered and will have to go through Rogers for the rights. The live stream will air the same as everywhere else. There will be a on-demand component, but it will have less content than the streaming network library. Exactly what will be available is not known yet. The plan is to introduce the network on the Internet at some point in 2015.

Classics On Demand was never meant to be a big revenue genorator like the Network is. They are banking on the Network to do big business. They are canning PPV entirely in 2015 in favor of the Network and PPV was one of the biggest revenue avenues for the company. If this thing bombs then its a much bigger deal than a service they really only promoted for a few months on TV then left really for the intros of the DVDs to carry for a number of years. The current subscriber total is 690,000 which is down 10,000 from what they reported in the 2nd quarter earnings on Thursday. So they have lost a total of 138,000 subscribers. But because of all the big budget cuts they have done they can break even on a subscriber number of 500,000 rather than the 1.4 Million they needed had they not done said budget cuts.

I watched Fall Brawl 94 last night. It was supposed to be Steamboat vs Stunning Steve Austin for the US title, but Steamboat was injured and they just gave the title to Austin. Then Austin goes and cuts a Stone Cold promo on Steamboat...and they proceed to make him defend the title against Hacksaw Jim Duggan who defeats Austin for the belt in about 7 seconds. Nice job WCW

This is what happens when Hogan comes in he gets all his buddies jobs and they get pushes. In hindsight its even dumber when you see Jim Duggan have a squash victory over Austin.

It surprising to me because they talk about Austin getting fired because he wasn't marketable, and yet he basically cut a promo as Stone Cold Steve Austin before he was fired. But then again, this was the same company that did nothing with Undertaker, HHH, Hall, and Nash and let them leave for the WWF and become stars so I shouldn't be surprised.

Hall and Nash were stars before they came to WCW (Razor/Diesel). With Taker and HHH...who knows if those guys find "it" if they hadn't been dropped by WCW. same with Austin. It's like blaming the Falcons for trading Brett Favre. Some guys need that wake up call to be propelled to greatness.

Watched Armageddon 1999. Overall the card kind of bored me, but it's cool going back and seeing the rise of Chris Jericho and Angle now starting out since I only ever knew them as established stars. Hopefully from now on I won't have to skip through so many matches because some of these random matches I just don't care about especially since i'm not watching Raw in between.

The HHH-Vince match was some good drama with a solid twist at the end(Granted not so shocking now in retrospect lol).

Hall and Nash were the Diamond Studd and Vinnie Vegas/Oz in WCW before they went to WWF and became stars. One or two guys slipping through the cracks I could understand, but those are five huge names they let get away, you could probably even add Jericho to that list but WCW was already a sinking ship when he left. I can't think of one guy that left the WWF for WCW and became a star.

Man, that was complete shock when it happened. To me, that is still the greatest storyline I've ever seen. It involved so many people and branched off into different storylines.

But **** HHH for the ****ery he would go on to commit years after.
