I thought Nitro was 2 hours pretty soon into when it started. I don't remember it being 1 hour for so long or are they just showing the last hour of the shows?-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Is the new Monday Night Wars episode worth watching? I skipped out on the Mick Foley one because I heard how bad that was and the new one according to the description is based on ECW rise during the MNW.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
yea the ECW episode was pretty solid and illustrated how ECW was basically an illegitimate farm ground for WCW at first and then WWEComment

I haven't got on the Network since NOC. I need to check out the Beyond the Ring specials for new ones.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I hate watching the Monday Night Wars stuff!
Not because it's not good, it's GREAT. What I hate about it is how much it's making me angry at WWE today. Literally 99% of what was said about what was wrong with WWE at the time and why they were losing fan interest is the problems with WWE today.
It's been said by so many people(including myself), but the attitude era intro from Mr.McMahon is the most ironic video in the history of wrestling when you watch it back today because of the fact that everything WWE bashed about their past during that video,is true about WWE right now.
I know they have the network and all,but if WWE ever releases abunch of DVD boxsets of every Raw episode ever,I'm for sure gonna get every RAW/SD one from 98-05. Honestly, just do that instead of(or alongside of) the WWE Network!Last edited by Majingir; 09-29-2014, 11:01 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm at the Dude Love/Canada vs USA part of WWE in 97 and it's real interesting to watch.
Canada vs USA storyline in 97 is exactly how WWE should be doing a country vs country feud. Not like the stupid stuff going on now with some Russian monster vs USA. The thing that made Canada-USA feud so much better is how shows were in both countries, so it wasn't just Hart Foundation ripping on USA crowd every week and getting booed. One week they're in Canada getting cheered like heroes, next week they're in USA being booed out of arena. Then they were back in Canada a week later getting cheered again! There was even an episode where entire arena sang the anthem UNINTERRUPTED!
Austin got booed so badly during all of that too! lol, only in Canada would Stone Cold Steve Austin get booed while being a good guy. Austins boos in Canada are even louder than Cena boos.
Funny thing about all of this is when Dude Love debuted, they actually made it seem like this would be THE character for Mick Foley. Saying Cactus Jack and Mankind were ok,but Dude Love is THE character from Foley. Sad thing is that if WWE did stay kid friendly,Dude Love might have actually been the main character for Foley.
Gonna watch Summerslam 97 tomorrow. All those crazy stipulations the Hart Foundation added on themselves were funny. lol,Stone Cold was the originator of the "kiss my ___ club" with the stipulation he added for himself against Owen.Last edited by Majingir; 10-04-2014, 01:04 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm going through Monday Nitro and PPVs', right now I'm at the Monday Nitro before Bash at the Beach 96 where the New World Order was formed and Larry Zybyszko just said that at Bash of the Beach it's going to be a New World Order...wonder if it was a Horsemen like thing where it was said and they said yeah that's the name we're using. Did they tell him to say it as it was known what the name would be or a coincidence? Just thought it was pretty interesting.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Going through it, the year overall really wasn't that great. Main feuds were great, but overall card sucked. Austin,HBK,Hart Foundation were the GREAT stuff of 97. HHH,Goldust,Undertaker,Foley,Bearer were all good too. Most other parts of the cards weren't good.
But like always, when people remember the attitude era, they remember the best parts and not the bad stuff. Each episode of Raw in 97 has maybe half to 3/4 of the card where matches are worth skipping cause it features 1 if not both sides having uninteresting superstars.Comment

I think this perception is false. I feel it's more of that the good stuff was so good that the bad could be tolerated.
