    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

lol, I saw a Road Dogg vs Cactus Jack match where it was supposedly a regular 1 on 1 match. Then steel chairs, barbed wire baseball bats and steps all did(or almost did) come into play. So after some weapon shots, JR said it must be a no dq match.

Then 2 minutes later Foley goes for the pin, Billy breaks it up, and the ref DQs Road Dogg lol. So apparently weapon shots are allowed, but break up a pinfall and you're DQed.

It's the same thing that goes on today too and not just an "That was an Attitude Era" thing.

I was watching the Rivalries episode on Flair/Rhodes. It was pretty basic in a lot of ways but man, some of the archival footage they dug up from the '70s sure looked real beaten up but it contained a lot of gold. Only one thing kind of bothered me about it though, I know that the victors live to tell the history but I didn't like that about halfway through the episode they were talking about how WWF was overtaking the NWA etc etc and all that crap. It's almost like Vince can't focus on something without having his product mentioned.

It didn't totally take a lot out of it but let's just say I didn't think it was necessary. I also wish the show would've touched on some of the Flair/Rhodes interaction post the initial rivalry in the '80s as they did have some limited interaction in the '90s in the hopes or rekindling old fires.

Ah well...Great episode for all the archival stuff and DAMN those two could talk ANYONE into the building with their promos!

I could watch an entire Flair-Rhodes promo compilation. So entertaining and the contrast in styles is what really made the rivalry special.

Unrelated to the quoted post above but relevant to the Network, when are those 50-something "Old School" shows being uploaded to the Network?

I really like the new feature where it lets you see which shows/ppv that you didn't finish and let's you continue where you left off.

I have only seen one commercial on the Network, and it was on the day they announced commercials.

Watching the 2nd part of ECW Exposed and Misawa vs Kobashi at Heatwave 98? That would have been something.

I was there. Man that would have been amazing.

                        I was there for '98 and '99.

I wish they'd unload a bunch of Raws. I had gotten myself from 93-WM14 but then the site I was watching the Raws on got taken down. Have been piddling around since then.

Important question: is it too late to sign up for the free WWE network? Meaning, if I signed up today, would I still get Survivor Series for free?
