Plus all that content and NXT alone is worth the $9.99 you pay for it.
Because alot of wrestling fans are cheap. They'd won't pay a single dollar for anything, they'd rather just stream it instead. They might use the "I'll pay if the product gets better" excuse, but in reality, they're just cheap people. Like I said, network could be $1 a year and there'd still be abunch of people not willing to pay.

Network for $9.99 is a huge steal! Even without any of the old footage, it's still worth it. $9.99 for PPVs and NXT alone is worth it. Add in the new WWE Network stuff they have(like those documentaries, tough enough, among other things) AND all the old footage, and it's more than worth $9.99.

Isn't really contributing anything. He painting folks with broad, inaccurate brush of something like this when it's not true at all. And it's not the first or second time he's done that, which is why I called him out on it?

And PeoplesChamp, good stuff. I hope this is something that last for a while(read: years).

He isn't trying to troll and probably doesn't ( and won't) see anything wrong with what he said, so why even bother?

I see nothing wrong with what he said, a whole year of the WWE Network only costs me what would've been two PPVs a year. The network is a steal and if you're choosing to stream instead of getting the network you are being cheap and not helping the product get better at all.

Agreed. I honestly do not get why ppl would stream wrestling ppvs anymore. The Network was a great idea to fight back.

I never said he was trying to troll(another overrated/overused internet term)nor trying to accuse him of trolling anyway.

One person said he can't understand why people wouldn't get the network and another said we're mostly cheap and won't pay a single dollar for anything. His 2nd paragraph got his point across, idk why me or the rest of the people in this thread got called cheap. Pretty sure all of us have the network, I know a lot of us have been to live events, and most of us have some sort of merchandise. Pretty sure a good amount of us have bought the games also. That statement was just ignorant, imo. Maybe that's what PPM was trying to say? If not, my bad.

I never once said you or anyone in this thread is cheap. I said "alot of wrestling fans are cheap", meaning many people who are wrestling fans are cheap. Doesn't mean EVERYONE is. WWE Network has around 1M subscribers, however on a site I saw, some stuff gets over 1M views, meaning just as many if not more people watch WWE Network stuff online, than people who actually have the network.

                              Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

So I watched the first two Prime Time Wrestling episodes on the Network (why they didn't start at the very beginning is a mystery but hopefully once they (eventually one day) get to the end of the classic Bobby/Gorilla years they can go back and fill in the holes as i'm curious what the Jesse Ventura iteration of the show was like) last night and this goes back to jobbers. Now I know that PTW especially in the '86-'88 time period used a lot of house show tapings and in that regard the jobber or very close to that type guys had to put on longer matches but still, these guys weren't just crap.

I want to mention a couple of them who I saw a lot on house shows and such who were actually pretty damn good in the ring:

                              Iron Mike Sharpe

His gimmick was that he was Canada's best athlete and he was known for the padding on his arm due to his "injured" forearm. He was a big burly guy and a real brawler. He also employed a lot of the stalling tactics and whatnot but he did it in a way that was entertaining. I always liked his big bruising style and if was around 10 years earlier he may have been a bigger star. As it is, he was damn good enhancement talent. He had an AWESOME match against Sivi Afi on the first PTW. The match lasted quite a while (13:51 according to the awesome Graham Cawthon history of WWE site) but it had a good flow to it and both guys were really whaling on each other. If you haven't seen the match I recommend it despite the screwy (and it looks like, slightly botched) finish.

Next up is the #1 Frenchman Rene Goulet

He had a match with Lanny Poffo which was pretty good too. Goulet was more of a technical wrestler who could brawl as well. Actually, he was probably a good fit for Poffo's style as they did some technical stuff as well as some brawling around. Goulet's style is a little more irksome for a modern viewer but I liked his style and how he carried himself.

These two jobbers were guys that had a credibility to them and could work a real good match when they need to. They were able to make the midcard and above guys look like gold.
