This was entirely my fault, but I had it spoiled for me because I was about an hour behind and I came in here to check out the first few posts in the Takeover thread between the Women's match and the main event and the first poster had an avatar with Nakamura holding the title.

Learned something new today. On the Legends with JBL, JBL said that Warrior was originally supposed to have the Vader gimmick in Japan. Just goes to show you how much wrestling history wouldve changed if Warrior decided not to sign with WWE.

Yeah, i've heard that story before. It's pretty crazy to think what would've happened if he did have that gimmick.

BTW I was watching some of the CWC shows yesterday and damn, those guys put everyone on the main roster to shame. I can see why it's so popular among smarks. It's such a breath of fresh air to see such a totally different style on display.

Wrestling History is basically full of what ifs when it comes down to it. If Vince didn't think Hogan's character wasn't done and he never left WWE and never went to WCW, etc.

Table for 3 with Mick Foley, Edge and Christian. Watch it. Very funny.

Y'know, I wish it didn't take a legend's death for the WWE to do this but they went DEEEP into the vault for Mr. Fuji today. There's a couple matches from the early '70s in there with him.

Would be nice if they uploaded more house shows from the 70s/80s/early 90s.

They also aired them unedited unlike the way they've done on the Network.

Okay supposedly WWE is putting up a Hidden Gems Collection and the Last Battle of Atlanta is on it.

The Last Battle of Atlanta is a cage match between Buzz Sawyer and Tommy Rich with Paul Ellering suspended above the ring in a small cage, think a smaller version of Hell in a Cell. I've always read that no footage of the match existed.

Here are some pics of it:

That is a holy grail for wrestling fans as apparently there's no tape footage of it existing in the trading community. I'm definitely going to watch this bad boy! This was one of the most bloodiest matches in history too.

EDIT: I had heard whispers about that Bret Hart ECW match as well...Good grief and I love the fact that they've gone super deep into the Vault for the majority of this stuff.

Kudos to the Network staff on this.
