If he made it to Wrestlemania X8 then he already went through 2000.

Yup. 2002. Some historians will say that was the official end of the Attitude Era, although I thought that happened after WM17.

Sorry, I was a victim of skimming I guess. I just saw where you said 97-99 was your favorite period. My bad. Everyone dates eras differently. Me personally, Attitude Era was Pillman gun incident to WM 17. Pillman gun angle was just awesome and the edgiest thing WWE has ever done. When Pillman pulls that gun out of nowhere and says "When Austin 3:16, meets Pillman 9 mm gun!!".

Pillman was way ahead of his time.

I remember watching the Pillman gun incident and I swear to God I thought that was real. I know WWE has tried to do stuff that seems "real" since then but since the cat is so completely out of the bag in terms of kayfabe they can't pull it off credibly anymore.

I thought it was real too. Pillman had that talent more than anyone else of making you suspend disbelief. Another example is when he beat the heck out of that fan on Shotgun Saturday Night.

Of course another one is the awesome Summerslam 1991 intro.

The Royal Rumble ones were the best.

Of course now when I hear these, I picture Prichard doing his Vince impersonation, which is so good.

Vince was always amazing doing voiceovers and commentary. His WWF Superstars commentary during the early 90s was crazy good. Watching him lose his **** during the Jake Roberts vs Rick Martel feud is a highlight for me.

The only thing I hated about Vince was after a big move and a cover, he would raise his voice to a certain octave and talk really fast. For example, "He's going for the cover. 1, 2, No!!" When ever he did those two things, you knew the guy was going to kick out.

Lol true. I remember in the first few years of Raw he used to go way overboard with the false finishes. One match sticks out: Macho Man vs Yokozuna during the lead up to WM 10. At least once or twice when Macho went for the pin, Vince was like "1 ... 2 .... 3! He got it! It was 2. So close." CM Punk parodied that when he did commentary at least once.

1988 SNME, Hulk Hogan vs Harley Race. The spot that ended Harley's career. He goes through a table on the outside of the ring after Hogan moves to avoid a headbutt. Back before those Fisher Price breakaway tables.
