They wanna extend the interest in these stuff. If you give people everything at once then they watch everything in shorter time. Spread it out and it keeps them coming back.

And they probably have people working on diff shows too. I'm sure they got a staff of interns/people who have to watch every episode of every show, making sure it's good to air. They might have all this in library, but can't just release it all without approval.

Yeah don't really buy that. If that were the case then they'd remove the stuff from the service like Netflix. Eventually they'll upload their entire library, so what would be the hook to keep people coming back at that point? A lot of people are there specifically for Raw and Smackdown. Why in the blue hell would you complete uploading both of those, Nitro and every PPV ever to "spread out and make people keep coming back" for......Shotgun Saturday Night? WCW Saturday Night? Old regional house shows? Sure for wrestling junkies like us we want that stuff, but you don't give away the cow and then try to hook customers by trickling out salad and bread.

I've said it before and I'll say it again and again and again, NJPW has mostly all of their shows up on their service albeit matches not whole shows. And they have recorded stuff from as far back as 1972.

          Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Eventually there might come a point where you think they've uploaded everything they can think to upload, but that's not exactly something they're probably thinking about happening anytime soon. And by time that happens, they'll probably own other video libraries too like TNA and ROH. There'll always be new content they can upload.

Not to mention once people have seen everything, they might wanna re-watch it. Unless you bingewatch everything all the time, by time you think you've seen everything you want to see, enough time might have passed where you could watch it over from the start again and it won't be so fresh in your mind.

That's what happens with me and regular tv shows too. I might not have watched it for years, and I might still remember all the big things that happened, but if enough time passes, I can re-watch it and it'll still feel somewhat new.

Looks like we're getting a new episode of Table for 3 tonight after Raw. I hope it's the one with Cornette, Bischoff and Doc Hendrix.

That's an odd threesome, any backstory on what the link is between the three of them? They usually have some sort of theme

HBK/Nash have a connection as we all know. As far as Styles, he is discussing his dream match with HBK on this episode. And I guess he worked with Nash in TNA so that counts as a connection.

Been checking out some of the older documentaries on the network that I haven't checked out yet.

The one on WCCW is really impressive and worth a look.

The documentary on Brian Pillman sticks out to me with how legit and shoot-esque the interviews were. Like, typically guys on WWE docs will phrase their comments a certain way, and avoid too much insider lingo, but Steve Austin was being straight up saying that the booking committee in WCW broke up the Hollywood Blondes because of politics and jealousy. Bruce Prichard also was interviewed extensively for it, which i found unusual.

Network really ramping up the classic content. They dropped 35 episodes of Prime Time Wrestling just TODAY. Just this week alone they basically finished all of 87, dropped almost all of 88, and are already into July of 89 as of tonight.

Nice! I'm going to pick this show back up. I'd stopped before as I was running up on the end of uploaded episodes.
