Yep. He'd have been a big deal but he was at the tale end of his career and hurt by the tie Waylon came along.

I never appreciated him as much as I should have, he was hilarious on the mic from 94 until Bret left. His commentary at the King of the Ring 96 is great, especially during Goldust's match vs the GOAT Ahmed Johnson

One of my more memorable WM moments was ending of WM10 with Owen just standing there jealous from afar while Bret celebrates his title win with the good guys. All that after their great match at start of WM.

          - Jinder Mahal beats jobber Jason Jordan

          - JR says Leo Kruger aka Adam Rose is "withoutadbout a future big-time player". He beats Aiden English, who is still a jobber 5 years later.

          - Old school Ascenion has a kickass entrance man, they would've been awesome. Too bad Bram beat up a cop. Usos are doing their annoying babyface gimmick without the paint. So it took them 5 years to become heels?

          - Richie Steamboat...I heard a lot about this guy. Is it confirmed he's never going to return from injury? Such a shame, dude seemed like he had potential.

          - Main event was Johnny Curtis aka Fandango against Derrick Bateman aka Ethan Carter III from TNA...lol.

Really digging this after two episodes though, it's very easy to watch and I love hearing JR.
"Black Out"... I see what WWE did there. He was Tyler Black in ROH before coming to WWE. Looking at Seth back then, it's amazing how far Seth grew so quickly and that he wasn't in NXT long(though I guess if you count FCW then he was there a while) in just 2 short years. By 2014 he was the top heel on the main roster and in 3 years was the first guy to cash in at Mania and win the title.

It's even funnier when you go on YouTube and find a FCW Triple Threat Match where the winner faced Leo Kruger for the Championship. The 3 participants.... Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Leakee(AKA Roman Reigns). Then see how everything turned out on the main roster.

As interesting as it is for fans to look back on top stars who started out with terrible gimmicks(Ringmaster before Austin was Stone Cold, Rocky Maivia before The Rock etc), it's also interesting to see guys who are jobbers or guys who don't matter all these years later being made out as big time players.

Rollins was great down in fcw. Ambrose in fcw I think had a better gimmick than on main roster. He truly was "unhinged" in fcw. Completely crazy there.

Leo Kruger was a good gimmick. Adam Rose unfortunately like Tyler Breeze you knew was a nice gimmick for the full sail fans, but once WWE writing got to them, we'd see nothing good for them. Rose faded quickly, and Breeze went from getting WM style entrance facing Jushin Liger to being some fashion cop/Breezy Bella.

Everyone concedes the "that's why I kicked your leg out of your leg" promo was the greatest of all time.

I'm 100% certain if the concept of MITB was thought of back then, Owen Hart would have been a Mr. MITB and cashed in at some point. Just wish Owen would have gotten at least 1 world title run in the early 90's.

Is Owen's DVD on the Network yet?

The WM Monday WWE 24 special is awesome, as expected but holy ****, the crowd...

There was a beach ball being hit around the arena and included chants of "heyyyyy we want some beach ball" "let's go beach ball, BEACH BALL SUCKS". Then one dude has the ball just holding it, fans are booing him and chanting at him "you sold out". ****ing hilarious, I would love to be apart of the WM Monday crowd.

Raw after WM really took off with Raw after WM28 in Florida. Now airing this WWE24 stuff right before Raw after WM in Florida again? Makes me think they're partially trying to force it on the crowd to recreate the magic.

They wouldn't need to force it, if it started after WM 28 like you said, it's a well established thing now.

And it's only been really good a few years since then. The year Ziggler won the title and they hijacked Orton/Sheamus being the obvious one. The last few years it has felt forced, with the audience chanting "we are awesome," even when they clearly didn't deserve it lol.

I just watched Backlash 2006 to watch The McMahons vs HBK and God. Probably wouldn't be my first choice for an angle but Vince had me cracking up, plus he took one hell of a chair shot to the head

Re-watched the Raw where Rock came back for the first time in 7 years. "And I'm never ever leaving again"
These days I'm less like "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis and more like "dying alone on the toilet" Elvis.
