    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

I don't think it is a case of them treating the WWE title like a secondary title as much as it shows how poor their long term planning is. This isn't a Smackdown/Raw thing either, that title has been a hot potato ever since Rollins got hurt. There is no way that in January the plan was for Orton to win the rumble, burn down Bray's house, have a non title match with someone on another show's ppv and then drop the title in his first defense to a guy that got embarrassed at WM by Rob Gronkowski and then lost to Mojo Rawley a week later. The only thing helping the Universal title is that Lesnar has limited dates, so they have to actually plan out what they're doing with him

Breezango match was actually my fave one. Breeze in that was so funny the whole time. Now that's how you entertain a crowd.

Poor Jinder, getting this grand entrance in a limo but won't win the title.

Ya, so annoying! It's like every other big move gets a crowd reaction shot! I don't care about seeing some awkward reaction shot from some random people in the crowd, I wanna see the action!

Turn this into a drinking game, you'll be out after match 1.

Wow they really pulled the trigger on Mahal, something tells me this is going to be like Christian where Orton will win the title back on Tuesday so Orton can face Rusev at MITB or at least Corbin. Also the Chicago crowd is reacting the way I thought they would, zero reaction to him winning. This was why this shouldn't have happened in Chicago.
That was funniest part of it all. Orton throws the guy in the air, he flips around, and Orton has that "Ouch...whoops" look lol.

And now Breeze will be Santino for the rest of his career.

There are two types of people on OS: Those who disagree with me, and those who agree.

The first kind is wrong. The second is superfluous.

Not necessarily. Look what Daniel Bryan was able to parlay a comedic character into.

Not that Breezes potential is a main eventer or anything. Even in NXT at best maybe he's a mid-card guy. But he's what WWE needs more of. While he won't be in the main even, you need guys to hold those great depth positions in the company. You need good/entertaining show top to bottom.

Think of it like a sports team(outside of basketball), you need depth top to bottom to be great. WWE at times feels more like NBA where you just have a few guys doing stuff and rest are just afterthoughts who are time fillers.

I'd rather have a 2-3 hour entertaining show than 1.5-2.5 hours of time fillers and 1-2 feuds that are above average at best.

I feel like Sandow would be a good comparison. Entertaining and over for his cleverness, but never in the plans for anything but midcard comedy spots.

Ugh, I'd rather not remember how they ****ed up the whole handling of Sandow; especially the feud between he and Rhodes. Dammit, now I'm upset about Rhodes.

Sandow and Bryan are just guys who did very well with what they were handed (really bad booking). The problem with Daniel Bryan is that WWE thinks that they got him over, not that he was an anomaly and got himself over... now they are doing the same thing with Sami Zayn, who by the way did not need that win vs Corbin as much as Corbin did himself

I think Tyler Breeze is an EXTREMELY good wrestler in the ring when they let the strings off and let him showcase his talent. He was very good in NXT, but you're right, at the WWE level he has potential to be a solid mid-carder. He doesn't have to hold a belt for a long time, but it'd be nice to at least have him in the talk for one of the midbelts once Breezango finishes.

Hell, even a feud with Johnny Curtis (Fandango) would be very entertaining, as he can really go in the ring as well.

Listening to Too Cool and Rikishi's theme as I watched Judgment Day 2000 today and it finally hit me that the words in the song were "You look fly today." I was instantly saddened by the fact that it took me damn near 20 years to realize that's what they were saying in that song lol

Edge & Christian had HBK and Mick Foley on their podcast this week to talk specifically about their 1996 IYH: Mind Games match. So I figured it i' d watch the match for the first time in years.

Obviously it's an underappreciated classic. People always give Foley his due for taking bumps, but I feel like he deserves more credit for his workrate.

The match is over 25 minutes long, and he's with HBK every step of the way. Athleticism isn't the first word first people think when they think of Mick, but he could go.

Also decided to check out the Vader/HBK match that they spoofed a bit in the Mind Games match. Specifically the spot where Vader forgets to move to avoid a top rope elbow, so Shawn yells and kicks him in the head twice hard.

It's a decent match. Vader could move like few (if any) men that size. I almost feel like his charisma and energy would have been well suited to being a baby face. Obviously Vince was having none of that.

Anyone check out the Bischoff/Cornette table for 3? It was pretty uneventful. They were both cordial enough. I feel like Bischoff deserves the most credit for doing it, considering Cornette has buried him for decades. Then again Cornette buries everything and everyone when he really gets going.
