Watched the episode of Something To Wrestle With on Ted Dibiase, man I could listen to Bruce's Vince impression all day. My favorite part of that was when they thought they lost the Million Dollar Title and someone stole it. Bruce calls Vince at 2am, they tell him they lost the title. Vince's response: "What the hell do you want me to do about it?"

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
When Austin had to have surgery on his neck(I believe) that just threw everything for a loop. Instead of the dream triple threat of Austin vs Rock vs Triple H, we ended up with Triple H vs Rock vs.... Big Show. Hunter beat him for the title on an episode of RAW in 2000. It seemed to me it would have been easier just to give Hunter the title at Survivor Series earlier than expected since he held the title anyway until Backlash 2000 when Rock beat him.Comment

But ****, Kane? Build X-Pac and the supporting cast of DX up and you could've gotten some good matches out of that. Give it to Mick as he promotes his book every damn show. Or, the easy choice; let The Rock shine.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Like I said before, I didn't think WM15 build was so great. Card on paper didn't seem so great either. After watching the event, it was way better than that!
Long summary of the show:
SpoilerHardcore match was decent, not as great as past hardcore matches. Especially being in Philly, I thought it'd be better. Later on we saw Gorilla Monsoon in his final ever appearance. Standing ovation from the crowd.
Dlo/Test vs Jarrett/Owen. Owens final WM. Sucks seeing Owen not really doing much in his final few months. Funniest part of the match to me was when Ivory/Debra started fighting and you see several photographers all as a group walking towards them to get pictures. They're all like "Who cares about the match, IVORY AND DEBRA ARE FIGHTING!"
Now for where WM really picks up. Kane vs HHH, but before that, the chicken appears! Kane unmasks him and it's Pete Rose! His plan failed again. A funny line I heard in that, Cole mentioning Pete trying to get his revenge on Kane until Wrestlemania 30. Back then, WM30 seemed so far into the future. Nowadays, WM30 is in the past. I was actually surprised by the ending. Chyna comes in and turns on Kane and crowd goes crazy for HHH/Chyna reunion! DX is back!?!
Then, Shane vs XPac. 2 forgettable members of the original Mean Street Posse were in the crowd too. Match ends with HHH coming in and turning on XPac and helping Shane win! I actually wasn't expecting that at all. Cool to be watching something almost 20 years in the past, and actually be surprised. Crowd reaction reminded me of when Rollins turned on the Shield. So much for that full DX reunion....
Undertaker/Bossman in that dull HIAC match. That ending was still so crazy. Brood comes down from the ceiling (knowing what happened to Owen just 2 months later, it's abit strange to watch the Brood doing that type of stuff, especially camera focusing on them so closely, thankfully nothing went wrong there), and then Bossman gets hung from the cell. I still don't know how they did it. What did they connect to him to not actually hang him, but make it look real? Also, Undertakers first entrance with that Ministry music, and coming out with such a great entrance attire.
And of course Rock-Austin main event! No DQ, and they battled around the arena. Taking out referee after referee after referee. Nice match between those two, of course ending with Mankind out of the hospital and counting the 3 for Austin! Great to have JR on commentary, even if it was just this 1 match.
For a 1999 show, I was surprised at how good the graphics looked on TV. The match card and nameplate graphics were great. For some reason though, they censored out mentionings of WWF. Logo wasn't blurred or anything though. And most other shows I've seen were fine with mentioning WWF. And like I mentioned, Undertakers gear was cool too.

Undertaker with them shoulder pads of doom.
EDIT: That version of Undertaker gets so much regard from my based on his WrestleMania 2000 character. So many gently slammed N64 controllers because of that reversing everything mutha****a.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Man, I think WM 15-16 are examples of more not equaling better, and WWE getting away with a lot of bad stuff because Stone Cold raised the bar and the intensity of the product overall. The crowds for those shows were insane, and they were eating up all that Attitude era stuff.
I will take WM 14 over both, and obviously WM 17 was a totally different level.Comment

I mean the Oddities got reactions out of the crowd that are better than many people on the roster today! And nobody thinks for a moment the Oddities are better than most of what we have today. But fans back then were enjoying everything because they had reasons to be excited and look forward to other parts of the show.
Raw after WM15 obviously not as good as Raw after WM14, which was one of (if not the) best Raws in history. But still had some big moments in it.
-Part of show revolves around Austin demanding McMahon give Austin back his custom title
-Undertaker/Ministry with a great plan. Go after Sable, call out McMahon, and once he comes out, he realizes the entire Ministry isn't actually there. He runs backstage and finds out "Stephanie" has been taken! (sidenote, before that moment, were people supposed to know she was his daughter? Cole seemed to slip up, he almost said Stephanie is Vinces daughter, but he just stopped talking. Later in the night they did acknowledge the relation)
-XPac reminding people just how much things have changed in the past year. Raw after WM last year, HHH came out and brought XPac/NAO into DX. Now the Raw after WM15, HHH turned on DX and went corporate.
-SHAMROCK is the hero in all this! Steph kidnapped by the Ministry, Shamrock gets Christian to reveal where she is, and he just goes and finds her unsupervised...
Rocks interactions with the crowd are always great.
Rock: Nobody, and the rock means....
Crowd : Nobody!
Rock:......... Stop that!Last edited by Majingir; 06-27-2018, 12:40 AM.Comment

I don't really care for these UK matches. They aren't bad or anything but it's nothing that makes me wanna watch again or tell someone else that they need to watch.
