    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Wwe says its "relaunching" the network later this year with new features as well.

No idea what that means, but from what people have said, it could be introduction to things like tiered plans. Cheapest plan for PPVs, most expensive would be access to all content.

I feature which would be cool would be full on playlists of superstars or stories. Let's say I want to watch all of the Edge vs Undertaker feud in the late 00s, the list would have every moment those 2 are involved in for the duration. Or date range search so you could choose a specific time period to see all appearances whether it be a match or promo, during that range.

I hope the new network also means they overhaul the Canadian version too because the Canadian version of the network sucks(on demand part at least. The TV channel aspect is the only advantage over the US version)

Would be interesting if they had a $9.99 tier for on-demand content, and a $15-$20 tier for that plus their PPVs. Then you'd really see what people think of their current product.

That’s for sure. Which is why I can’t believe they’d do that.

Or do what others are starting to do and offer a "day pass". Not applicable for PPV dates, but let's say you want to subscribe only for 1 day, maybe it'd just cost 1-2 dollars or something.

I wonder how many people they actually attract with the new subscribers get a month free stuff given they advertise it to death every show.

The tiers would be interesting to see how they price it. PPV only, on demand only, network with no on demand, or entire network.

If I have the option to only get the on demand stuff for less than it would cost me to include the ppvs then I’d do that. I can always change my subscription for the 3-4 months that have a ppv I might be interested in. I think it would be a bad business move to offer on demand only

Exactly. Nothing about tiering makes any sense.

If on demand only is 9.99, they don't lose anything.

Would people who want only on demand pay $15? Keep price the same for those people, but ones wanting the PPVs too pay more.

It does when it includes getting tape libraries for companies like Impact, Progress, wXw, Evolve, etc.

                    Probably on demand tiers too.

If you just want on demand for wwe network originals, it's one price. If you want classic wwf/wcw/ecw, it's a diff price. Other libraries could be diff price.

You can mix and match and get discounts for grouping tiers. Like cable packages where you could pay for individual channels or get a bigger package and get the networks you want + others.

It depends how much they value people viewing raw and smackdown. I’d probably stop watching the current product if I’m getting on demand only

They've already gotten over a billion dollars for Raw and SD. They will still make money increasing price of network.

Eh I doubt they do tiers. They probably just raise the price

Man that made me laugh. I'm old enough to get that reference. Also, in 2019 you wouldn't even be allowed to mock or make light of something like that. It's funny how watching old WWF feels like edgy entertainment by comparison these days.

My favorite part was Goldust trying to help Owen in the ring and grabbing his *** in the process. He killed it with that gimmick when he first debuted
