Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Finally got to WM2000
Spoiler
The hardcore title 15 min time limit match was fun. The original championship scramble. This type of match should happen way more often (the "last fall is the winner" type of match). Ending was so badly botched though.
Trish Stratus WM debut was something. I don't think the cameraman could even zoom in any more than that.
Speaking of cameraman. The Kat backstage literally naked. Took some "creative camerawork" to cover just enough for them to get away with it, including Moolah showing us Kats "fuzzy *****...cat top".
Triangle ladder match time! As great of a feud as this would become, it actually didnt have the build I was expecting going into WM. What an insane match. Basically was a TLC match anyways (or a "TL" match). So many crazy spots in it.
The triple thread double title match was cool. I wouldn't mind stipulations like that in future matches in present day. 2 fall match, each fall for a different title.
Pete Rose vs Kane pt3. Kane wins again, Bearer with a crotch chop and Rikishi finished him off with a stink face.
I preferred Foley winning. I wonder what things would've been with Foley winning, and vacating the title in his retirement which then set up a tournament for the title. But I guess Rock getting screwed is the bigger story. Talk about hating that ending. Beer flying all over the ring from the stands. Biggest pop of WM was probably Rock hitting rock bottom on Steph.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Taker vs AJ Boneyard match recap with For Whom the Bell Tolls playing in the background is the only thing which could make that match better. The match itself was obviously so good, but we know they can't have too much licensed music in it.
On the last ride it was so good. Maybe the best match recap ever.
After watching that, I'm not sure how else to end his career. That basically has to be it. And the video package recapping his career was a happy/sad feel to it. If he never competes again, I'll be fine with that. We know he can always return for one offs just to hit a tombstone or last ride on someone, but no need for matches anymore.Last edited by Majingir; 06-25-2020, 10:21 PM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Raw, April 17 2000 is such a crazy episode.
Spoiler
Show kicks off with an improved WWF title match. The episode where Jericho "beats" HHH for the title. Next segment is HHH forcing Hebner to reverse the decision and then fires him.
Eddie's "Latino Heat"(or as king says, "LATINO HEEEEEEEET") theme is good.
Raw is in Penn State. Fresh off the top 2 picks of the NFL draft coming out of Penn State. The same draft which also had some guy named Tom Brady in it.
Hardcore title match featuring the NEW ECW champ Tazz. They even announced him as the ECW champ.
Linda makes a major announcement. In the Rocks corner at Backlash is STONE COLD! I know people say the reaction Jericho got when winning is one of the biggest reactions, but the pop when Linda said Stone Cold was insane. Some people seemed to have a feeling Austin was gonna be named. Were there rumors about that?
This whole segment is crazy. Linda announces Austin's return. Linda slaps Steph. HHH tries hitting pedigree on Linda. Shane (on HHHs side) attacks HHH. Steph (ironically) weakly slaps HHH and Shane. Then Rock interrupts them all. JR almost had a heart attack the whole time, he was going crazy for 10 minutes straight.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
From 2 minutes onwards, this is amazing.
In a different world, imagine if WWF could've turned ECW into what NXT is today.Last edited by Majingir; 07-02-2020, 09:17 PM.Comment

And then we have ECW Champ Tazz vs WWF Champ HHH on Smackdown.
In a different world, imagine if WWF could've turned ECW into what NXT is today.
The whole WM 17 angle with Linda being drugged, then waking up and getting revenge on Vince is a highlight of that show. Classic soap opera story and payoff.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I’m assuming WWE has the rights to For Whom The Bell Tolls if it’s in the Last Ride documentary, they should go back and edit HHH’s Wrestlemania 27 entrance to include it on the network.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Heel Edge and Christian on commentary are great.
JR: Why are you guys out here?
Edge/Christian: Because we're going to interfere in this match.
Just flat out admitting they're jumping the match in a few minutes. I'm surprised we don't hear guys be allowed to say that more often. Just state the obvious and be to the point. This happened to be the same night Edge and Christian debuted the 5 second pose.
And the more I watch it, the more I think The Worm from Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the most over moves in the entire AE.
And Mr.McMahon feels like a mob boss

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I watched a table for 3 episode from last year with Jarrett,Sting,AJ.
Wasn't expecting them to get basically any TNA footage they wanted. The day WWE buys the TNA video library will be big for the network. You know they're obviously waiting for the price to drop like crazy and get it for nothing.
And little known AJ fact. His first WCW appearance was in a backstage segment with NWO Bret Hart. He was an extra who got beat up by Jeff Jarrett.Comment
