Watching his old stuff, crazy to think that about a guy who was already the face of the company and one of their top guys of all time.

Macho Man vs Warrior with the story that Flair/Perfect were gonna align with one of the 2 men was another cool story too.

Man Warrior just ruins matches. I can see how I liked him as an 8 year old but man he’s brutal. I have been watching Savage’s best of and just finished the WM7 match and even that’s not that good to me because Warrior. The finish is borderline idiotic.

Now watching the Sasha vs Bayley WWE Untold doc.

Still angers me how horrible things were backstage, even as recent as the iconic match at Takeover with those 2.

Literally an hour before the show and they were doing rehearsals, they refused to show their moves because they knew someone would tell those divas they're not allowed to do that. Can you imagine womens wrestling history if those 2 simply spent a few minutes doing rehearsals and 1 idiot in the area saw them and ran and tattled on them. The greatest womens match ever almost didnt happen simply because of some old fashioned insecure guys at ringside.

Even in 2015, that was still the mentality. WWE can rewrite history all they want, but fans wanted womens wrestling longer than just 2016 onwards. It was WWEs own people who kept them down and saying that divas cant be wrestlers.

True, but they also avoided hiring women that could "go" in the ring even into the 2010's.

Unfortunately, some industries are slow moving with progress and change. Thankfully, women are treated a lot better and hopefully that will continue to get better.

And, not to belabor the point but women's mainstream wrestling was hindered and harmed way before 2015. Blame Vince, Mae Young or the audience yet the reality is we weren't "ready" for the change. It took women like Bayley, Banks, Flair & Lynch (plus their peers) to push for the change we are seeing.

We didn't have this many talented female workers 10, 20 or 30 years ago.

Not saying womens wrestling in the 90s should've been a thing. As much as that would never fly today, it did serve its purpose during AE and even RA era. But the dark days when they went PG is the era I hated the most.

You're not using the womens roster in the way which attracts a certain segment which women like Sable,Terri,Torrie and others attracted, but you're also not allowing the roster to grow to do things which made them love Trish,Lita,Molly,Victoria and others.

Don't get me wrong, I know Trish and Lita despite how good they were in the ring, still wouldn't have gotten their chances if not for higher ups liking their look. And the diva era did have Melina,Beth,Mickie and others, but it was just a shame as a whole having the amount of women they had who were talented, but they got held back, only for WWE to act like its not what fans wanted and that's why things changed.

I mentioned Kharma a few days back. Fans loved when she came in because they had a fierce dominant woman coming in and seemingly taking down the divas. Clearly they wanted something besides pretty faces doing hair pulls and Olympic cosplay.

I think you’re reading too much into that. Crowd didn’t care about her “taking down the divas”, we just like seeing someone cool **** people up.

Exactly. Wrestling fans have liked T&A since the beginning of time. Now that they’ve figured out how to have cute girls who can work is even better.

But the point was that the divas era women weren't allowed doing that either. They weren't used for the matches which typically attracted guys to watch, but they couldn't do regular matches either.

Either way, we're living in the greatest era in womens wrestling history, so I guess try to block most of the 07-14 era out of my mind.

His non-Hogan/Savage matches especially hold up worse than I remember. Watched his cage match vs Rude at Summerslam '90 and it just drags. But the fans were into it. Still had to remind myself that it was a main event world title match a few times.

Not gonna lie, I loved the Warrior vs Rude match from WM 5, it just sucks that I can’t watch it with Rudd’s original music on the network

It was what it was for the time. They didn’t hire many women who could actually work, and at the same time fans weren’t up in arms over it or anything.

I’m indifferent on Warrior overall. He’s not someone I’ve gone back and rewatched much of on the Network, but my old memories are of his stuff being decent. Now wondering if I should check some others out again.

Even childhood me thought the WM7 match was dumb though.

The finish to 7 is just so unbelievably bad. It just screams that they were having creative differences so they just went with garbage and moved on to the Liz stuff ASAP.

Gotta get the VHS transfers. They are out there. Although finding one that plays "Eye of the Tiger" during Hogan's early entrances is tough. They dubbed over that even pre-Network.

Alright, rewatched the WM7 Warrior/Savage match and it's fine. Loses me at the same place it did as a kid - Warrior talking to the ceiling and his hands. Post match is still great so that helps you forget about the crappy finish a little bit.

Skipped around the PPV and little and forgot about Mean Gene interviewing Donald Trump, Chuck Norris, Henry Winkler, and Lou Ferrigno. I kinda miss those random WM celebrity mashup segments of the old days.

                              I saw the wwe24 on WM36.

Never knew Shane was in charge of the Cena/Wyatt match. I guess delegating does work out since HHH was in charge of the other cinematic match.

They actually showed a backstage moment from a past WM where KO after a match came to Vince to ask him if it was good, Vince just says No and then gives him the cold shoulder. Very telling of how KOs career went after that.

In addition to showing Vince doing Gronks spot off the platform, they showed Vince testing HBKs entrance during the zipline part. I want to see more of those clips. WWE24 on past WMs before the network. Not as many cameras obviously, but I'm sure they could put together a 20-30 min doc on whatever behind the scenes footage they have from each one, having modern interviews from guys looking back.

Gronk joking during WM about joining the Bucs. He knew even back then didnt he?

Raw Flashback on the network. Just checked out some of it.

I never realized Rikishi was in the headshrinkers. I only knew of the sultan gimmick and that's it, never knew he had others.

Men on a mission? Bastian Booger.

Raw in 93 was weird. Most of 93-95 in general wasn't the greatest.

Raw basically just ends with mini macho man coming to the ring with a bunch of women, then they show the SS spectacular special card and that's all?
