    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Another one of those random moments I never knew was a thing until I saw that specific episode of Raw...

Minnesota Govenor Jesse Ventura will moderate a Bush/Gore debate on Smackdown...if those guys accept, which they obviously didn't.

I'm surprised there's so many things like this that they didnt even bother editing out of their shows on the network.

    Back to the actual show...

Foley's reaction to Naked Mideon bending over was hilarious.

Eddie stole that show (no pun intended). Foley goes off accusing everyone for calling the cops on HHH. After he accuses Eddie, Eddie comes out from the back like..."WHACHU TALKIN BOUT ESE?!" and fans start laughing. Eddie eventually gets into triple threat IC title match, Chyna gets taken out, Eddie consoles her but ends up pinning her and becoming champ, with the best "surprised" Eddie look ever.

Crash Holly's delivery of the "is that a mirror in your pocket? Because I can see myself in your pants" line was so funny coming from him.

Why would they edit that out of a show?

        It never ended up happening.

There are some ads or videos they do edit out. Seems inconsistent at times what is or isn't edited out. Though they usually leave all their ads (those shots where they show the outside of the arena, and are like "Raw is sponsored by Castrol GTX!") in these things which I'm surprised with too. Even showing something like the boot of the night, they'll show the Lugz ad.

I enjoyed the Big E 24 special. Hope to see that man with a world championship here soon.

I was thinking the new day split was leading to Big E vs Reigns. Sadly it won't, but hopefully he can win the title sometime this year.

I never knew Big E was supposed to be the 4th member of the Shield. Wonder how much different the stable would've been. He and Reigns would've had the same role which is probably why they said no to him. But it would make a Big E vs Reigns feud somewhere down the line even better if they go that route. Guys who were the powerhouse of their respective 3 man units, maybe add some (made up) backstory about how Big E was going to be the 4th man of the shield but Reigns was the one which said no.

Once fans come back, I hope he does the 5 count. Any time you have a gimmick with audience participation that's a hit, you roll with it. Same with that Urkel gimmick. That part was funny. He could easily channel so many different things and make it work.

No I meant but why would they need to edit that out?

I just figured anything that isn't part of the main show would've been edited out, such as promoting other companies or any kind of event. In the case of ads, I'm sure Lugz or AT&T aren't paying to have their ads on the archived episodes.

This would be like seeing a classic NBA game on TV and during the broadcast they still show those break in play ads promoting something like the Sprite halftime show, or some NBA show airing next week.

I dont have a problem with it (I liked the one in 08 when the candidates actually did a WWE styled promo), but just found it weird they kept things like that in tact for every show given how streaming services usually edit things like that out. Theres probably thousands of hours of footage on the network dedicated to those cutaway shots with ads or events being promoted.

I hope the 50 greatest women show really is like a documentary and not just some studio panel The Bump style show like we saw last month with the greatest elimination chamber competitors stuff they did.

About time Orton goes on Austin's show. I'm sure they'll really dive into everything good and bad that happened with Orton in the mid 00s.

It’s looking like they’ll have fast lane on the 18th but the network will keep running until some time in April, the 10th at the latest before everyone is switched over

For their sake, they better hope everyone gets switched over well before WM. Switching too close will cause some confusion and/or trouble for some people at the worst possible time.

Is any of this new news? The original announcement already mentioned March 18 as the start of the switch and Fast Lane as the first live event, no?

But then there was talk a day or two later of it possibly not being ready in time anymore. So this confirms it's on schedule.
