    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

According to the people with the international version of the network, the WM VI and Survivor Series 2005 edits have been made to the regular version of the WWE Network too.

Torrents are going to be the only way to get the original versions now.

My sub expires on the 31st, so I just checked and yeah - edits were made there too. Oh well.

I already have quite a few hard drives for my Plex server for Movies and TV shows...not that I want a WWE one or anything but there's some cool projects people have done out there worth looking into. There's quite a few people who have re-dubbed WWE Network versions of events with original music intact...I think there' someone who did the entire or almost the entire ECW library re-dubbed with all the original music.

First legitimate viewing of Peacock goes to the 2002 Royal Rumble.

Everything is running very smooth, and honestly the A-Z listing will be the easiest to go through for everyone, imo.

Everything is just now considered a "season". So the first WrestleMania is Season 1 Episode 1, the second WrestleMania is Season 2 Episode 1.

Kinda weird, but it'll be fine. Just going to take a few months to get used to for sure.

I also HATE the commercials. Why I pay what I pay for Hulu, lol. However, the $2.50 price tag for four months certainly makes it more "meh, whatever."

That’s going to be brutal with the commercials if you don’t watch Wrestlemania live. I’d assume once it’s over and not playing live it will be full of commercials

So does that mean Raw is broken in to seasons, like each year is a season?

Why not just get the $9.99 version? That’s the same price as the Network was. No commercials there unless I missed something.

There are commercials for certain things. But I will get the $9.99 after the deal.

Smackdown was just there so I looked.

Yeah, it is in seasons and episodes.

So seasons 23 is 2021, and we are 8 episodes deep from January 1st - February 19th.

Right, each year is a season in Peacock’s layout.

Here’s an example of the amount of commercial breaks, using last year’s WM. I haven’t actually watched any full shows so I can’t speak to how it flows (guessing similar to any current WWE show) but the breaks I’ve seen so far have ranged from 30-45 seconds a piece and they show you the countdown, similar to other streaming apps.

This only helps on a computer, but I bet if there were a way to block ads on your browser it might also work on the $5 tier of Peacock.

Free version of network still has some free WMs so even if you're not on the network anymore, can still check out classic WM content before you're completely cut off. Most seem to be free right now, especially the ones in the last 10 years.

I'm on WM27. Probably lower down the totem pole in terms of WMs I liked. But Rock hosting was great.

That Rock/Austin staredown, the first like this I believe since their WM19 match?

And the Cena/Rock rap battle/concert is still so good. Their feud is more entertaining to watch when you can compile everything like this rather than real time where we had some 5 minute segment and waited until next week to hear the other guy live via satellite reply back.

Sucks the network edits out all musical things. Rocks concert not on the network. Its one of the best things ever.

WM28 had 2 of the best matches in WM history.

HHH vs Taker, HIAC, HBK as ref, End of an Era!

This match had one of the best storytelling of any match in WWE history. Ring psychology is such an underrated part of wrestling. In all the years of Undertaker at WM, that superkick into the pedigree was the most convinced I ever was of the streak ending. Not even WM30 gave me that feel. Speaking of which, the fans went insane! One of best WM pops ever. For an outdoor event, that pop surpassed most pops in an indoor venue, although this is the crowd which made Raw after WM crowds so popular, so it did carry over the next night. This absolutely should've been Undertakers final match.

The Cena/Rock "once in a lifetime" video package is one of my faves in WWE history for any PPV. Cenas entrance, talk about boos! And what an ending to WM.

Not gonna do this for everything, but since there isn’t much up it’s easier to catch:

ECW Cyberslam 96 is up on Peacock, with all the language and violence (including man on woman) still there.

I wonder if it's because it's ECW and not WWE, and to them their partnership is with WWE. Or maybe the Piper and Vince segments were things they for sure wanted out, but the talk of them going over all 17,000 hours with a fine tooth comb was exaggerated.

I could see them just editing out stuff that even if it happened today under the 14+ TV rating, it wouldn't be ok.

Also, couldn't they go back and change the rating of episodes to 14+? Despite what people think, PG actually did allow for edgy content back then. PG in the 90s is different from PG today, so perhaps they could just mark those older PG episodes as 14+?

So because I’m slow and don’t pay attention. Once my WWE Network account expires I dl peacock and sign up for their 9.99 account? Nothing automatically transfers over right?
