    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Anyone else annoyed by the annoying fade in and outs on the AD FREE version of Peacock? I like watching old Wrestlemanias to get me hyped for the current one and man the fade in and outs during matches just kills it for me. It does it when watching the Broken Skulls Session too but damn... can we just get a true ad free version where it doesn't fade in and out? I miss the old WWE Network so much.

I’ve been noticing that on old NWA/WCW programs. I assumed it was just some weird production by WCW, didn’t realize it was a Peacock thing

Every time I think of subscribing to peacock to check out some old wrestling I always think of a reason not to, and here's another. [emoji2357]

WWE Evil premieres on Peacock March 24

I'm guessing it'll be available on the network for everyone else then too?

They’ve got all of the evil series up. I watched the Hogan episode and it was pretty good but overall it looks like a lot of recency bias with who they selected to feature in each episode

It's trash for wrestling, man. I was on a ****in role with The Network between my attitude replay and my journey through the Golden era. The organization and lack of options with sorting, lists have made me just give up on that journey. Not to mention when you FF you don't even get the little image that shows where you are in the match.

So they confirmed the rumors of Sting being the 3rd Man, hindsight 20/20 but I just don't think Sting as the 3rd Man would have worked as well as Hogan did. Though I do buy that Hogan would hear something planned for someone else and swoop in and take it for himself.

Cena, the guy who never turned heel being the narrator for WWE Evil is such a great irony.

That’s why Eric wanted Hogan to do it and was only going to use Sting if Hogan wouldn’t do it. It needed to be a WWF guy.

I think Sting could have pulled off the third guy, probably not as well as Hogan but I dont think anyone pre Bash at the Beach would have ever imagined Hogan could have pulled it off as well as he did. Thankfully things went the way they did because if the roles were reversed and Sting was the third guy, the Hulkster would have been dropping the leg on the entire nWo by the next ppv, brother

Hogan vs NWO would've been the original Cena vs Nexus

****ing great match between Regal and Benoit on Nitro in '96, Regal gets busted open hardway and they have to shoot the match from a wide angle (because Turner). Hall, Bischoff and Nash are on commentary putting both guys over. Hall gets mad about the wide angle shot at the end lol.

Stuff like that is why I kept all my old dvds and vhs stuff. I can’t stand when things like that are altered or edited like that, or there are things removed for PG reasons or whatever.

Cena turned from face to heel early in his WWE career.

Right, he was a heel throughout his 'Dr. Of Thuganomics' run until he beat Big Show at WrestleMania 20 (I believe).

I'm pretty sure he's narrating cause he's a recognizable voice and he's executive producing the series.

I enjoyed the first couple of episodes, but the Bros of Destruction & Randy Orton episodes left me wanting more. Might skip the Stephanie McMahon episode and go straight to the Ric Flair one. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Yeah but I think most people think of his main top run as the big what if. We see how it skyrocketed Reigns, and Cena was even more capable of being a great heel tbh.

In interviews Cena has talked about how being booed while being a good guy later in his career bugged him. I would hope that he understood that they were actually booing the stale character, but seems like he took it personal.
