WWE tries to be "family entertainment" but really need to sort things out alot better. Raw for example, 8pm could be the PG version of product,9pm could be the "edgy PG" stuff, 10pm would be 14+ stuff.

Though I don't get how targeting kids by being relateable to them, makes a difference. Maybe to the parents it does, but from what I remember when I first watched, the thing that was cool about WWE is how you could watch it as a kid and feel "grown up" by watching an edgier show that's not like any other kind of show me(or anyone else my age) watched.

Isn't that something kids like, or was it just when I was a kid? Watching a show that's targeted towards people older than you, made you want to watch it more cause it felt cool and everything that you were getting to see stuff like that instead of anime, nickelodeon, disney and stuff. Now it's like WWE is holdings these kids hands and guiding them through the shows. Maybe it's just me, but doesn't seem like it'd be as fun for a kid watching something that panders to people their age, over watching something for older people which gives them abit of a thrill getting to see "big kid shows".

They do need to sort it out better.

But rather than altering the content of RAW they should go back to the two brand gimmick. Yeah at the time I thought it was poor but it may be what is needed. Make Smackdown the pg brand and RAW the 14 brand. Put guys where they fit.

Some guys prefer or be better suited to working a pg show (Cena comes to mind) while some work best on a edgier program.

The comments about kids watching stuff that was targeting an older demographic was troublesome for WWE. Yeah as kids we loved it. But it got the company into trouble. Parents and interest groups were not happy and WWE was constantly defending itself.

When I was in the 7th grade I got in trouble and was sent to the office. As I was leaving the classroom I looked at the teacher and said "before I leave I have two words for you -- SUCK IT!!"
Yeah that did not turn out well lol

I think they could and need to do a better job of finding a balance. You can still have a quality product without excessive cursing, bra and panties matches, blading, etc. They took those things away but we also got a watered down product.

The most telling part of the interview for me was when Steve mentioned how the guys in the locker room seemed to be "walking on egg shells." Vince's response was basically, "Well then don't piss anyone off!"

That basically confirmed to me that culture does indeed exist backstage and it honestly probably hurts the product more than a lot of other things.

That and what he said about Cesaro really rubbed me the wrong way. The booking screwed Cesaro. I think anyone who's watched wrestling for long enough can see that.

Am I the only one who noticed WWE using the Cyber Monday hashtag on Raw, basically trying to take credit for Cyber Monday trending on twitter....as if Cyber Monday was something WWE is responsible for.

They should be marketing to people with money. Kids and young teens arent paying for the Network. They need to post more behind scenes and vintage footage for older fans to relive and see angles of programs they've never seen before.

If they are targeting that network for kids, they will(are currently) fail miserably.

I don't think its a stretch to say this is the best piece of content thats ever been on the network, including PPV's(not that they're hard to top). Very fascinating to hear Vince talk this openly, even if he seems to often lack perspective. Austin did a great job, his show is always the best one of all the wrestling podcasts and he took it up another notch tonight.

One thing though: Vince, you are absolutely out of touch and often flat out ignore the audience.

Its hilarious to hear Austin say people are afraid to voice their opinion, and then at the same time Vince says don't piss anyone off if you don't want to get buried. THATS THE PROBLEM PAL.

I didn't watch the live podcast. I was hoping it would be posted to Steve's podcasts today but I guess it's just a network thing. I'll have to watch it this weekend. Sounds interesting. I wonder if Punk will respond to what Vince said during part 2 of his podcast this week.

The best part of Raw was Miz getting the usocrazy slapped off his face. It came off uncomfortable like there wasn't supposed to be a slap or Uso was legit pissed. Miz looked shocked. Well done.

The rest of Raw? *insert fart sound effects here*

So are we just not going to get a permanent GM now? Just guest GM's until the authority is inventively brought back because of reasons?
These days I'm less like "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis and more like "dying alone on the toilet" Elvis.

After his interview on Raw last night, I'm hoping to see some Eric Rowan wine tasting vignettes

Unfortunately, we're all going to have to see that segment. 100% guaranteed.
