Sting is actually there live and he's on the network. This makes 0 sense, absolutely none.

I'm glad it seems like he's probably not finished though and in a way if they are going to do Sting/Taker that they are waiting until maybe January/February

It's Sting man. He's a legend...if I would have known this is how it was gonna go down, I'd rather him never signed, as cool and surreal as it actually was seeing him in WWE.

It makes sense if you are trying to get people to subscribe to the network and not give it to them free.

I don't know what you guys were expecting. They can't alienate the non-Network crowd watching by putting a Taker/Sting confrontation behind a 10 dollar pay wall.

Raw had so much potential but derailed quicker that the Ascension's push.

He could be and maybe they truly don't know what to do with him. I'm sure he knew their initial plans otherwise he wouldn't have done it, but I'm sure he has to wait on Taker to let them know he can go again and that's only if they want Sting/Taker, etc.

They don't need a year long push for Taker/Sting at WM next year if it does happen.

Bonus for live crowd to see Sting, and hyped on TV to try and get some eyeballs on the Network. Obviously they're not going to get a million people switching over so none of these live arena segments after a show are ever important to the story, because not enough people see them.

I thought that a little but really hard to say, maybe we both reading to much into it. Do feel he deserves better than this and should have gone over HHH but I have always been a fan of his so maybe that's why I'm reading more into it. It was said earlier that Sting did an interview where he said he didn't come to WWE cause of how they would use him. Maybe he had a reason to be cautious.

I feel like building up for a year is too long. The heat would die off sometime in the summer. In a perfect world i'd make a Sting/Taker match headline SummerSlam.

I couldnt agree more. How long drawn out and tired would a year long build be between two guys who are never on TV? Id rather they start that up at next years Rumble. 12 months is too long.

Taker/Sting is the type of feud they could announce the week before Mania and it'd make no difference for me, I'd still be way too excited for it.

Eh don't really agree with that. They're still recording stuff, they'd just show the video on SmackDown and the following Raw. Back in the day they'd have stuff happen after Raw went off the air all the time and only the live crowd saw it and then the next week on Raw they show us the video of what happened because it was important to the story.

So yeah, they could definitely put something important to the story in one of those segments without any regard to "enough people" seeing it.
