I think I'm in the minority that I loved Bo coming out to 'interrupt' Sting.

Re: 03/30/15 Raw: The First One After the Big One

We are going to see less and less stuff on free TV and more and more stuff on the Network going forward. They still have way less subscribers than they anticipated having by now so they are slowly going to cut off the plebs.

If any of you thought even for a second that Lesnar was actually going to work a match on free TV, then you've got a lot to learn. Just like when The Rock came back and people on here were upset that he wouldn't wrestle on Raw, it would make ZERO sense for him to have done so.

Also, Sting has been friends with Bo Dallas' dad and uncle for over 30 years and has known Bo since he was born. The story about the face painting is legit and I'm sure he did the spot as a favor since he is a longtime family friend.

Byron just needed to talk a little louder and show some more emotion. He does fine as a regular on the event pre-shows and in his backstage interviews. I don't know if the WWE was telling him to act shell-shocked or not, but it didn't make for good commentary tonight.

I would've liked to see Wade Barrett come back out there to help Byron instead of falling back on The King.

Re: 03/30/15 Raw: The First One After the Big One

I thought a majority of RAW was really good, even with the monotone Byron Saxton announcing for the last 2 hours. Several really good matches and the main event was good if you weren't influenced by the crowd.

It wasn't on the level of 2012-14 in terms of post-WM excitement, but really, giving the current state of WWE, none of what transpired tonight should've been shocking to the audience. They had to write Brock off TV and also start setting up Extreme Rules. Every match tonight served a purpose going forward.

As for the Sting interview, WWE is evolving its business model and how (and when) it presents content to its audience. There's nothing wrong with them doing so. The Network was the company's biggest gamble since the first WrestleMania. There's no way Vince is going to let this thing fail.

Knowing the backstory to that now i'm not nearly as upset. That's actually pretty cool.

Then they need to find different ways of building if nearly every week we get a 6 man tag match with big show and Kane.

That was the only problem I had with the show. Shame it was the main event.

Saxton was bad at times (particularly by himself), but I'm still annoyed at all the people on twitter saying they missed Cole. I'll take Saxton actually calling the action in the ring over Cole's slick, over-produced commentary.

I'll take slick, over-produced, Vince McMahon screaming in your ear commentary to Byron Saxton, every day of the week.

                      Saxton: "... ... ...Red Arrow. ..."

Great call, guy. They gave him a chance tonight to be the lead voice for a little bit, and he dropped the ball hard.

I agree with Smashman. I think WWE basically said okay Saxton, here's your shot kid, let's see what you got. I think he sounded overwhelmed and unprepared for the moment and honestly I think the only reason King came out is because Saxton dropped the ball so hard Vince knew they needed to send him a lifeline. It's just sad to think this is an entertainment show and we can't get 2 or 3 announcers out there worth a damn in over 5 or so years now.

I thought the first half of the show was really good and it pretty much fell off a cliff after that. Some really great chants in there too. I appreciated the crowd taking a giant dump all over the main event, Vince should know sending Kane/Show/Reigns out there was going to get that reaction.

Thats why smart crowds are great, if you don't give them a good show you're going to get backlash, the crowds they get 90% of the time would have just sat on their hands for that main event. I can't remember seeing a wave at a WWE event before.

Cena was so great with the trolling. After beating our Russian hero last night, he comes out tonight and gets the predictable reaction, and in return I'm pretty sure he did the superman tearing open his shirt thing. Then he gets in the ring and says I know you're going to hate this but "the champ is here!" This guy is the best heel in pro wrestling EVER.

Pretty sure they did the wave at the izod center 2 years ago at the raw post WM? It was the fandago music raw is all I remember.

Past Raw's would've ended with that Lesnar segment. Keep us in suspense until next week; will the commentary team return? Will Brock defy his suspension? Etc.
Not to mention the crowd was in a frenzy, then went dead afterward.

I commentate on motor racing and a lot of people don't realise just how hard it is to call the action on your own. Byron has never been like that on commentary before, ever. He's normally a very good and engaging presence.

I think WWE should have sent him out with King and either Renee or Barrett. He has done lead commentary duties on NXT before though so I was surprised that he didn't sound as good.

It did sound like his microphone was quite quiet though.
