BREAKING: Seth Rollins out 6-9 months

Figured this deserves it's own thread.

Seth Rollins tore his ACL, MCL, and meniscus last night at a live event in Dublin and will be out 6-9 months.

WWE announced that he will vacate the title and there will be a tournament held at Survivor Series to crown a new champion.

This is horrible news for Seth. I feel bad for the guy. Sure he may not have been booked the best at times but that has nothing to do with this. Still :/

I was always assuming Reigns was gonna win the title. I now just assume he's gonna win this tournament.

I'm on Team Ambrose though.

Or Team New Day and let them defend the title under Freebird rules.

When I saw the pic of how awkward his knee had bent, I knew he wasn't walking away from that without something torn.

Curious who the entrants are going to be in this tournament. Also wonder if John Cena's sabbatical will be cut short.

Put it on Brock. Reigns will still get boo'd to hell. I can't believe how awkward his promos still are. I cringe every time. I do like the guy though.

Strap the jet pack onto Finn Balor and let him win the title. With his in-ring work and elaborate PPV entrances, he's the one guy outside of a returning Daniel Bryan that would be the most over with WWE fans.

Reigns has done well lately in terms of getting a good reaction, but you know he's getting booed out of the building like Cena in the hardcore cities.

Hopefully this injury forces WWE to think outside the box in terms of where they want to go creatively. No one wants to see Reigns win and lose to a Sheamus cash-in on the same night, or have Cena come back and win the title.

I'd be all for Lesnar winning, too, but I don't think WWE wants to do that unless Brock agrees to work some extra dates.

They need to give Reigns the belt in the exact same way that Rock won it. Have HHH ring the bell.

Ambrose can be a psycho nut face after both his boys have turned on him and can chase the title through Royal Rumble.

Now would be an ideal time to clear Daniel Bryan. At least to make things interesting. They obviously won't put the title on him since he can't be trusted to stay healthy. I'd still prefer to not see the title on Reigns unless he goes down the same path as The Rock at SS 98. Then that might be okay. But please don't put the title on Sheamus.

I'm also okay with the title being put on Brock.

Put it on Reigns with him joining the Authority. Pretty much copying what they did with The Rock in 98. If they want him to get over as a babyface, I think he needs to turn heel for a while first. The Authority doesn't have an active wrestler anymore either.

As far as the tournament, I'm assuming 8 man tournament. So, Reigns, Del Rio, Owens, Ziggler, Cesaro, Sheamus, Ambrose, and Cena is my best guess. If Cena doesn't come back (that would shock me), maybe Big Show.

Only the second time, as far as I know, the WWE title is vacated, and both within the last year and a half. Rollins would be back between beginning of May and Summerslam at the latest.

I clearly stated they wouldn't put the title back on Bryan, lol. They just need to bring him back now to make things more interesting.
