Just as I predicted. 16-man tourney to start and the semis/final will be at Survivor Series. Very uninspired bracket, though. At least add some intrigue, WWE.

It's really close to what you predicted. You had Balor, New Day, and Swagger instead of Titus, Kalisto, and Stardust. But still, kudos.

Also okay so the Lucha Dragons beat MITB and KOTR last week and they aren't the #1 contenders for the title? But kalisto is in the tournament? The booking is so confusing are we gonna get a lucha vs. usos 3 #1 contender match next week? If not is this the time for them to make kalisto rey mysterio?

Why do I have so many questions that derive from their booking? If I was a casual this alone would make me turn it off forever.

Okay so we should be getting #1 contender's match sometime soon right? You got 2 Smackdown's and 1 Raw before the PPV. I dont like when the WWE just decides who is the #1 contender rather than having a match for it.

WWE just has no direction for most of their roster. You'd have a random match happen with no explanation, then 30 minutes later in the show, we'll hear the commentators be like "It's just been announced that at (the next ppv) it'll be ___ vs ___ for the title!".

All would've been an improvement over the guys they put in the tournament. Titus? How do you not find space in a 16-man tournament for 1 of the 3 guys in The New Day?

What elevation? New Day isn't winning the tournament, and at most, they're winning one match, though that's a long shot. Putting them in randomly to lose a first round match when they're this hot doesn't make sense.

Heels can lose and still be elevated it is all in how you book.

Personally I think the new day deserves a spot in the tournament just for "the visual" alone. It lets the audience know these guys are big deals and deserve to be taken seriously.

I would have given Ziggler/Breeze as its on first round. Then have done Kofi vs. Kalisto as a first rounder they advance.

second round Ambrose vs. Kofi, Ambrose wins but from a distraction from sin cara/kalisto interfering with the new day on the outside, roll up pin.

There ya go New Day gets elevated a bit, advance the story line with the Lucha Dragons, Ambrose keeps on trucking no problem.

Everyone comes out looking strong.

Heels can lose and still be elevated it is all in how you book.

But the problem is that WWE doesn't elevate most people on their roster, and barely books anything.

I realize they had to throw this tournament together out of nowhere, but I'm with the crowd who feels they could have done much more with this then they have.

They put Breezus and Ziggy in, didn't have them face off and neither interfered in the other's match? Real? Oh wait, we're going to get 10 minutes of a good Ziggs vs Ambrose before Breeze comes out and spoils the ending.....real creative that's going to be...

What are they doing with Roman? Round 1, vs. Heel Show. Ok cool, still the good guy overcoming the odds. Second round matchup, looked to be an obvious Roman vs Sheamus. NOPE. Now we go from a match where he's guaranteed to get cheered Show and Sheamus, to Cesaro. You're telling me, pretty much everybody isn't going to be pissed when Reigns goes over Cesaro. Good job building the crowd in his favor...

While we're on Cesaro, why is he not even in the same quadrant as Stardust? They've been doing the "Stardust Section" thing on Smackdown during Cesaro matches, but let's just go ahead and pretend none of that is happening. Oh wait, Stardust might cost Cesaro the match vs Reigns. Real creative that's going to be...

They had great opportunity to both advance some story lines and push some guys in the process, and instead we're getting none of that. At this point we're all expecting either an Ambrose or Reigns authority flip, with a potential Owens to Authority if he gets to the finals, but really, is that going to be the payoff here? In the meantime, what else will be meaningful or significant in this tournament that has potential to advance a story or building rivalry in anything other then the same old same old?

Raise your hand if you're going to be shocked or surprised if the final 4 are Roman vs Del Rio and Owens vs Ambrose.

Including the returns of the Dudleyz, Del Rio and Zeb Coulter. If you read the dirt sheets most of them said it was going to be Daniel Bryan v. Cena for the US title. Also some thought with their lengthy match on Raw that Ziggler was going to walk out champion at HIAC.

I quit dirt and never really did spoilers about the time the OS created the new sub forums for those two. I just enjoy the product more. Was kind of sad to see this thread in the regular section, even though WWE tweeted out the injury. Either way though I'm not complaining as people have been very good about hiding what's going on with Cena in spoiler tags and such, as I honestly don't want to know.

I'm just trying to give them every opportunity to tell me a story on their shows, be in on Monday, Thursday or the Network, without any outside influences. If I would have hit dirt or spoilers and found out the UT had flown into UK I would have not enjoyed the ending to RAW as much as I did. I felt the timing was weird, but with how limited UT appearances have been for the past few years I was utterly shocked, not just to see him on RAW, but on RAW in the UK.

Again though, I hope we get something good at the end, but I don't want to feel like we just had to sit through a month long, meaningless train ride to get to it. There was a lot of opportunity to do more with this tourney, then whatever they have planned for the end. It's not the end I'm complaining about, it's the getting there that concerns me.

Except it wasn't a spoiler, nor dirt. It was posted in the dirt thread right when it happened and there was only speculation. Then once ESPN and WWE started reporting it, it became news, and not dirt/spoiler whatsoever.
