May 20th, 2017: After going through the heart break of The Festival of Friendship a few months prior, the WWE decided to break our hearts again. It was NXT Takeover Chicago where we asked the question.... DI WHY!
One year later, Ciampa STILL has the most realest heat by any heel currently on RAW, SD or NXT.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
I'm in February 99 right now with the shows I'm watching. Will probably get to May 99 at some point in June. Sad watching all the Owen stuff leading up to this, knowing he has only a few months left. Next year will be 20th anniversary. Seems unlikely he'll ever go in the HOF anytime soon, but hopefully that day does come.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
The episode may have aired in June, but it was recorded today. Stunning Steve Austin wins his last WCW World Television championship.

You have Austin, Heyman (that cell phone lol), and Alfonso all in one place. ECW!!!!
Plus Ventura on commentary. I forgot he worked in WCW for a time.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
24 years ago today, the first WWF hall of fame induction ceremony:
They never had a ceremony for Andre in 93. Not that this years HOF needed to go longer, but would've been nice if they did honor him at the HOF this year with it being 25th anniversary of his induction(and death). Not to mention with that HBO documentary that came out around the same time too.Last edited by Majingir; 06-09-2018, 09:58 AM.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
With it being MITB season, this cashin happened 12 years ago today:
Other things that happened on this day:
-AJ & Punk beat Daniel Bryan and Kane in a tag match (the first time ever that AJ & Punk teamed in a match)
-Lashley defeated a certain guy who competed in his final ever Raw match before his death (it would also be the last time he lost a match).
-The Dudleys defeated the Hollys in the only ever meeting featuring all 6 of them (Bubba/Dvon/Spike vs Crash/Hardcore/Molly)Comment

Why don't people just say his name? Is it some kind of internet thing to not say his name but be passive aggressive about it?

CHRIS BENOIT.
I for one will not apologize or minimize how much I enjoy his matches to this day. Because who cares at this point. It's not like watching his matches is the equivalent of being the president of his fan club.Last edited by dubcity; 06-12-2018, 03:36 PM.Comment

People turned it into a forbidden type of thing. Like saying his name is like saying Voldemort in Harry Potter.Last edited by Majingir; 06-12-2018, 03:50 PM.Comment

Thank you. That seems way less dumb than the other way.
