Have Schiavone ever talked about that famous line since it happened? Was that all him or did someone backstage tell him to throw a shot at WWF?

Wouldn’t be surprised if it was the latter considering what was going on at the time.

Bischoff told Wendy to tell Tony to announce the change and then **** all over it.

      Rest is history.

I always forget that the "butts in seats" and finger poke were on the same night. The irony is too much. You're going to mock the other show's main event, which was fun wish-fulfillment at its best, then you're going to piss off your own fans with that heat angle? Lol.

January 24th, 1988. The very first Royal Rumble PPV and the rest is history. Depending on how old you are, Pat Patterson is known for his wrestling, being the first IC Champion or he's known for being a stooge with Brisco. His lasting legacy in WWE, creating the Royal Rumble.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan won the very first Royal Rumble.

I want to say no, only because I remember reading an interview once (but I can't remember with who) that the wrestlers entering at intervals helped keep it fresh for TV viewers.

That first one was on USA Network.

One of my favorite Royal Rumbles, especially the ending.

That was in the middle of Prime McMahon-Austin. The videos of Shane training his Dad are classic, lol.

Feel like I'm the only one that still likes watching the I Quit match.
