It's not even the stuff about Punk, him saying that WWE can be better and that's his job. Now in 2023, it is Triple H's job to make the WWE better. It sucks how it ended, when he returned in 2021 to AEW, it was called the greatest return in wrestling and yet two years later and now he's gone again lol.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
"According to one person very close to the situation, The Young Bucks had said that if 6 months went by without CM Punk having any issues, then they would’ve been willing to sit down & work with him in AEW… (WON)"
This is hilarious. The Bucks and Omega have demonstrated throughout this whole ordeal that they don't know how to be EVPs of a company. When you're in leadership this is not how you act. Punk sucks and is clearly a cancer since his pattern of behavior has followed him in every company he's ever been in but your EVPs shouldn't be acting this way. They're basically cosplaying EVPs just like they've been cosplaying wrestlers their whole careers.

Yeah, everyone in this situation came out looking worse than before it started. Too bad they couldn't come together in their never ending need to compare/take shots at the competition instead. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

Re: AEW Off-Topic
The report claims "a source very close to the situation". Which if true...how many people were close to that situation? Young Bucks, Tony, who else?
Which to me is another issue with AEW. They care way too much about what dirtsheet writers think of them and getting 5 star matches and all that other stuff, and clearly lots of people within AEW are on good terms with/share info with these writers too.
Do we really need every single thing that ever happens within AEW being "leaked" to these writers?
Just focus on your shows and your product and not have most of the buzz about your company being things drawn up by talent sharing things with writers to create good press or whatever they do.Last edited by Majingir; 09-08-2023, 09:15 PM.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
I like how The Elite had literally nothing at all to do with All In, and yet somehow people want to make this somehow their fault.
A (very likely high level) employee assaulted them. So they decided to avoid contact with said employee. Which is smart. None of them are really in a role where they're directly responsible for talent. Matt is, I believe, on the merchandising side of the company, Nick oversees digital content (like BTE), Kenny is involved in AEW Games and, I believe, was one of ones who brokered the DDT Partnership. None of them are in talent relations or anything like that.
They also didn't really "lose" their EVP status. They just aren't working on creative now (or at least weren't, TK seems to be taking more creative input again).

Just seems like an excuse for a knockoff Cornette rant, to be honest.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Sounds like Prince Nana has signed an extension.
Between him and Stokley, I love how AEW is using some managers. I could watch those guys cut a 10 min promo every week and not care that they're not wrestlers.
One day we'll get a Prince Nana/Garcia dance off

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Ok yes we all know WWE kayfabes their attendance numbers, apparently AEW did too.
AEW announced the total paid attendance for the 2023 AEW All In PPV event at Wembley Stadium as 81,035 which was said to be a new record for a wrestling event.
“The actual numbers registered entering [Wembley] Stadium through the turnstiles was 72,265 – this is reflective of what attended on the night and not the total number of tickets sold or no-shows etc.”Comment

Concerts, sporting events, you name it.
Same story as WWE. Do I believe 80,000 people were in the venue? Yes. Do I believe a portion of that number includes security, ushers, concession workers, merch people, AEW staff and so on, also yes.Comment
