Re: WWE Smackdown Live July Thread

Is Kevin Owens, the same guy who infiltrated the new day a month or two ago suddenly a good guy again?

Either way, what a great promo to open the show!

Lol, wwe must have been panicking like crazy to end SD.

They were literally seconds away from ending the show with the match not over.

The end of show logo aired the moment the ref began his pinfall count.

This was Undertaker on Raw all over again.

Small reason why they should have promos ending the show. Takers was exception since his promos are slow. But a regular promo, you could have leeway on how long it goes and cut it short if you're running out of time.

Overall good show, and not going to say it was a big disappointment to find out Cesaro was the one knocking at Black's door because these two can steal the show if given enough time. Felt like they could have done this in the ring where Cesaro comes out but says he wasn't the one who knocked but he'll fight him if he's looking for a fight on Sunday.

Kevin Owens needs to continue to be the Owens we saw tonight from this point forward, awesome way to begin the show. Also seems like Sasha is coming back Sunday, they keep saying Bayley has no friends, reminds me of the build to Sasha's mystery partner being Bayley on a PPV while she was still in NXT.

Could be just the “being there bump” but I thought that was a really solid Smackdown. All the Owens stuff is great. Hoping they let him be the tweener he was born to be finally.

One thing that was really impressive was the reaction Bryan got. He was being booed hard(the good kind of booing). Considering he hasn’t been doing much or had much of a story it’s impressive how much he manages to keep the fans engaged. Also I don’t think it was televised but there was a second round of Bryan v Xavier on the mic that was absolutely hilarious.

Also there was a segment during the commercial break where they had two kids identifying superstars by their nickname. Most in 30 seconds won. The second kid to go was younger and didn’t know many. So the crowd was shouting them out to help him along. He’d pause and listen and get it right. Until the nickname “Best in the World” got dropped [emoji23] the place erupted with CM Punk and Jericho chants the kid was so confused. Not sure which idiot in the back couldn’t foresee that result.

Overall a really fun time as always. Little man only made it a little more than halfway through. But he loved it. Got to see Bayley, New Day and Finn so he was super psyched. He was only bummed Ricochet wasn’t there.

Kevin Owens stole the show. I really hope they keep this bad as Stone Cold type character going.

Rest of the show was fine. Nothing to write home about, but I was sports entertained for two hours.

SD Live 7/16: KofiMania continues, Shane's Terror Over? Summer of KO?

As SD Live now starts the road to Summerslam, we will officially be in the Eric Bischoff era of SD Live. With Eric Bischoff starting his job as Executive Producer this week, will we see SD Live get better? Now on to the preview.

KofiMania just wasn't a one shot wonder, Kofi has continued to show that his WWE Championship win at Wrestlemania wasn't a fluke. After disposing of Samoa Joe, who is next in line to challenge Kofi at the Biggest Brock Party of the Summer? Also who will step up to dethrone the NEW 6 Time Tag Team Champions?

Has Shane McMahon finally been shut up by The Deadman? Did The Undertaker put to rest the Best In The World and will we see Undertaker at Summerslam?

Kevin Owens made short work of Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules with one Stone Cold Stunner. As we saw last week, Kevin Owens has been vocal about Shane McMahon. Will there be any repercussions for Owens or will the new voice of the people continue to get one over on Shane?

Bayley overcame the odds and defeated Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross at Extreme Rules to remain SD Women's Champion. After proving she doesn't need any friends to win, what challenge awaits at Summerslam? God's Greatest Creation? A War Goddess? A Queen? Perhaps a Boss?

Shane calling a "town hall meeting"

                Bryan making a major announcement

                Bischoff running SD

                Should be a good show

Hopefully the career altering annoucement ends up being Daniel Bryan trolling the crowd in some form. I'm interested enough to tune in for the first time in about two months

Also tonight, The IIconics defend the Women's Tag Titles against Asuka & Kairi Sane. Another match, Ember Moon and a mystery partner face Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville.

Also showing how good the show could be. I forgot to mention that and those 2 are things which could be interesting too. I hope IIconics win. I didn't like them at first but I've liked them in their promos and commentary moments.

Wonder who Embers partner is. Hopefully someone good and not just some letdown like Logan, Morgan, Carmella, Naomi or something.

                          Isnt everyone lol.

Reminds me of the CM Punk days when he was being the savior for everyone. Instead of Bryan saving planet, it was Punk trying to make people sober.
