Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
Most multi-man matches are.
I keep thinking they are teasing something with Arn and Tully. Give me a proper heel Horseman stable with Arn and Tully as the managers.

Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
MJF is just utterly stellar.
He didn't say one incorrect thing.
That's what I miss about heels like him. Usually they don't say anything that's incorrect. That's why Triple H is my favorite ever. Always does but especially his heel peak, he was cutting promos full of truths.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 11-25-2021, 08:47 AM.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
We all know what Punk meant when he told MJF that the only way he would be number one is waiting on Tony Khan to have a daughter and marrying her. The thing I don't understand about digs at Hunter's marriage to Stephanie is people act like he only was a top guy or won world titles because of that. He was immediately positioned as a top guy in 1998 as the leader of DX then won his first two WWF Championships in 1999, and didn't marry her until 2003.
Like he already was a top guy in WWF so it wasn't like he married Steph and got 14 World Titles because of it.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
They did start dating in 2000, though Chyna always contended it was earlier than that.
I’m not saying it’s why he got where he got, but I know several in the locker room at the time thought it.

The hate for HHH is arguably the stupidest thing in the history of professional wrestling.

Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
I remember when Raw used to start every week with some big 15-20 min segment to start a show. Big moments happened during that segment and it set the tone for the rest of the night and furthers a big story that's going on.
Not that every week needs a segment like that, but its needed way more in AEW and WWE than we have nowadays.

And you could even argue that it would've been harder to get a reign being his family, seeing how Vince seems to be one of those "tough love" kinds of figures. But trust is the big thing there, which is why someone like Cena also got so many reigns and got pushed too, because of Stephanie seeing something in Cena which led to that rapper gimmick.
And then what he did once becoming a top guy is why he stayed there. If HHH isn't considered one of the greats of all time, then you could say his main event pushes weren't deserving.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite Thread
that said, you like what you like, and you don't like what you don't like, the big issue with someone like HHH is that he was in the spotlight for a lot longer than others so the people that dislike him are both louder, and talk a lot more. It's like how a few posters here have to mention how much they hate the young bucks every time they come up.
for me still it's more interesting to hear people talk about the things they like about wrestling/the show/whatever than what they don't like, but wrestling fans love complaining way too much to ever spend too much time talking about the things they like.
on that note, i find it a little hard to believe that anyone would say triple h got all of his stuff JUST because of Steph, and if someone does legitimately think that, we should all collectively, as a wrestling community, just take nothing else they say seriously. It is still fun to get a rise out of the HHH Superfans by saying it in jest thoSupport Local Sports

AEW Dynamite Thread
Looks like AEW decided to go with a two man booth with Tony and Excalibur while JR is out. Less is more in my opinion.
Or will every match have a guest commentator? Lol, though I have zero issues with MJF dropping zingers against PG Punk.
