They really just need to get the old guys out of the booth and let Excalibur shine. They served their purpose of getting eyeballs on the product but time to let Excalibur have his own time.

My problem with the commentary really highlighted during the Malakai Black entrance. Entrance looked badass, but JR jumped in way too early. Should have let the pictures tell the story much longer. That's also a product of having a 3+ booth, because it feels like they are constantly trying to jump in and fill every second of dead air.

I don't know that anyone wants JR in the booth anymore outside of the AEW execs. I prefer to focus on the things that I enjoy, but man, it is really becoming irksome.

That said, loved the show otherwise, the Mox/Kingston/Sting moment in the ring will probably go down as my favorite of 2021.

Hoping that Rampage isn't a four-man booth and instead is Excalibur with a rotating cast of the other three on color.

I can appreciate the Judas effect off the top ropes from old man Jericho.

So Christian is the new ranked number one in AEW? So it seems Christian Cage vs Kenny Omega at All Out? If you want to stretch out Hangman winning the title from Kenny a bit, ok fine. It seems as if it was apart of his contract and Tony promised him a world title match. At what point does Tony realize he needs to develop homegrown talent like Hangman instead of giving out titles to former WWE guys?

AEW has some great young talent much like WCW did when all they cared about was the NWO and anyone who came from WWE. Replace NWO with The Elite and it's basically the same thing.

Jerichos probably only there for the first few until he gets written off.

But 4 man booth is definitely overkill.

3 for the most, but 2 has always been the best number.

I still hate that move, it's lame. Like Jericho saw Cena use whatever weak knockout move he did in Saudi one time and copied it. He should have just kept the Codebreaker but renamed it the Judas Effect.

I honestly thought the Jericho/Juvi match was weak....two old guys fighting over the last jello cup at the retirement home.

Yeah, that match was absolutely terrible.

                      I still like him.

You realize this makes no sense, right? Most of the focus in the company is on non-WWE people, and those that were in WWE recently have differentiated themselves.

You could make the case that Christian hasn't defeated anyone near AEW's main event, so him getting #1 Contender based on an undefeated record vs. weak competition takes away from that status.

Yeah, the match sucked. Nice for the nostalgia hit, but both these guys are around 50 so it was what it was. That's not a knock on them for trying though. Age just catches everyone.

It was okay for what it was, but they are both at the point in their career where they either need to be in multi-person matches or working a match with someone who can carry the load.

                        You can’t outrun age forever.

Wardlow being the fourth labour was a little underwhelming.

I think the 5 labours might have been better if they said Jericho needs to win at least 3 to face MJF. So they could screw him out of 2 wins.

If they are going to roll with Excalibur, then I think they need to move to a two man group with him and Taz. JR and Tony don't really provide much anymore. Just have Tony do interviews since they seem to have him run back and forth doing that anyways.

His entrance was cool overall, but the silhouette shot was too Mantaur for me.
